A protective glove for protection against cuts or puncture wounds comprises an inner layer that is in contact with the hand when the glove is in use, a protective layer at least on a part of the palm side of the glove, and an outer layer. The protective layer comprises a composition of a wire mesh of woven metal wires. The protective layer comprises at least two sheets of woven metal, a first sheet of the two sheets having a palm portion and at least one finger or thumb portion, a second sheet of the two sheets having a palm portion and at least one finger or thumb portion different from said first sheet. The two sheets of woven metal are attached to each other adjacent at least at a part of the line defined by the transition between the fingers and the palm.

WEAR-RESISTANT AND SHOCK-RESISTANT GLOVE

A wear-resistant and shock-resistant glove includes a glove body and a wear-resistant and stab-resistant layer. The wear-resistant and stab-resistant layer is disposed at a palm part and a finger part of the glove body, the wear-resistant and stab-resistant layer is made of an elastic material, and the wear-resistant and stab-resistant layer is subjected to compression molding and is integrally formed on the glove body. The wear-resistant and stab-resistant layer is integrally formed at the palm part, the finger part and a purlicue part between a thumb and a forefinger of the glove body, such that the glove has shock-resistant, wear-resistant and stab-resistant effects. The wear-resistant and stab-resistant layer is subjected to compression molding and is integrally formed on the glove body. The wear-resistant and stab-resistant layer is made of a high-elasticity plastic material, which meets the requirements on wear resistant and shock resistance.

A protective baseball sliding glove is a device for protecting the user's hand when the user is sliding into a base. The user is able to position his or her hand within a hand-enclosing rigid housing that is then placed into a glove that covers the hand-enclosing rigid housing and a portion of the user's forearm. The user is able to grasp a cross-brace within the hand-enclosing rigid housing, anchoring the user's hand within the hand-enclosing rigid housing. The position of the cross-brace may be adjusted via a plurality of adjustment holes on the hand-enclosing rigid housing that allows the user to move the cross-brace to his or her comfort. A securing stabilizer strap may be utilized to secure the glove as well as provide structural support and rigidity to the user's wrist.

The metallic mesh layers are woven from stainless steel fibers having a diameter of 0.2 mm or less and have a mesh aperture of 0.45 mm or less. The garments made using the fabric include gloves, bullet proof vests and chain-saw resistant trousers.

A reinforcing panel is secured on an outer surface of the glove body between the thumb portion and the wrist portion. A cut out portion defines an opening formed through the reinforcing panel and in communication with the interior portion of the glove body to minimize bunching up of the glove body.
