Differential pressure detection device

A differential pressure measurement range is widened and differential pressure can be measured particularly during low differential pressure. A first spool facing a space in a high pressure side is lighter than a second spool facing a space in a low pressure side in a state where a magnet is provided. Urging force of a first elastic member that urges the first spool toward the space in the high pressure side is smaller than urging force of a second elastic member that urges the second spool toward the space in the high pressure side, and the first elastic member and the second elastic member are disposed in series.

A pressure bladder comprising a substantially cylindrically shaped interior chamber is formed from a pliable, yet chemically resistant material, for example a fluoropolymer, such as FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene). The interior chamber of the pressure bladder is hydraulically sealed at a distal end and is hydraulically coupled to a pressure sensor at a proximate end. Both the pressure bladder and pressure sensor are filled with an inert, non-reactive, stable measurement fluid. Optionally, a support mandrel with a second, smaller substantially cylindrically shaped interior chamber is hydraulically coupled between the pressure bladder and the pressure sensor and also filled with the measurement fluid. The pressure sensor is electrically coupled to electrical conductors, as is an optional thermistor. The conductors are received within a conductor protective tubing. The pressure sensor is disposed within a protective isolation tubing which is hydraulically coupled to the conductor protective tubing and to either the pressure bladder or support mandrel.

A novel sensor, intended for use in applications for robots, prosthetics, biomedical devices, or the internet of things, using a ferrous magnetic fluid is presented here. The sensor includes a deformable member containing the magnetic fluid therein and an array of Hall effect sensors to measure the changing magnetic field in the fluid as the deformable member is deformed. The sensor was found to be sensitive to varying applied pressure and is capable of resolving both the location and amplitude of externally applied forces. The range of applications for this novel pressure sensor are broad, ranging from robotics to biomedical devices and the Internet of things. The novel sensor can also be used as an orientation sensor or an accelerometer, torque detector and linear shear forces detector.

Temperature sensor integrated type semiconductor pressure sensor apparatus

A temperature sensor integrated type semiconductor pressure sensor apparatus includes a temperature detection device, a lead wire covered with a lead wire protection material, and a terminal, which are integrated together by a thermoplastic resin. This can prevent the lead wire from being deformed in the assembly process, thereby simplifying the assembly process. Furthermore, the temperature detection device is exposed from the opening at the tip of the protrusion, which can secure enough temperature response. Furthermore, the temperature detection device, the lead wire and the lead wire protection material are covered with the thermoplastic resin, so they are protected from combustion gas component, oil contaminant and corrosion product included in intake air.
