Temperature regulating system
A temperature regulation system for regulating the temperature of a body includes at least one temperature sensor adapted to generate a temperature measurement that relates to a temperature of a given portion of a body, at least one flexible support to be directly or indirectly positioned against or in proximity of a given portion of the body, at least one temperature adjustment element adapted to provide heat and/or cold to a given portion of the body, arranged on or in the flexible support, a memory unit adapted to store at least one temperature related threshold value, a logical unit in wire or wireless communication with the memory unit and adapted to perform logical processing, a controlling unit in wire or wireless communication with the logical unit, with the temperature sensor and with the temperature adjustment element.
Wearable accessory with heat transfer capability
A wearable heat transfer device provides a user with haptic feedback providing sensations of hot or cold. The wearable heat transfer device comprises a heat source/sink and a programmable interface having heat transfer characteristics that are modified based on a signal received by the programmable interface. For example, a thickness of the programmable interface changes based on the received signal, altering heat transfer by the programmable interface. In another example, an electric field is applied to the programmable interface, changing one or more properties of the programmable interface affecting heat transfer.
HEATED HAND GARMENT
A heated hand garment includes a body having a wrist section, and a plurality of digit sections extending therefrom. The heated hand garment further includes a heating element positioned on the body and operable to heat at least a portion of a hand of a user. The heating element includes a connecting portion configured to be positioned on the wrist section, a first digit portion extending from one end of the connecting portion, and a second digit portion extending from an opposite end of the connecting portion. The first digit portion is positioned on a first digit section of the plurality of digit sections, and the second digit portion is positioned on a second digit section of the plurality of digit sections.
ELECTRICALLY HEATED GLOVES
A garment for wearing in cold weather, such as gloves, wherein the garment is electrically heated to provide resistive warmth to the wearer and where the garment has multiple layers and where the heating element is disposed between the inner and the outer layers, yet secured by loop fastening features.
APPAREL POWER SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
An apparel power system and method of using such system is disclosed. The power system provides a source of electrical energy for electrically powered accessories attached or integrated to apparel worn by the user of a vehicle without requiring the use of wires and plugs connections between the user and the vehicle. The vehicle may be a snowmobile, ATV, UTV, motorcycle, watercraft and the like. The electrical power of the vehicle is transferred from the steering means such as a steering wheel or handlebars to a handwear such as a glove or mitt or a wearable adaptor. Holding of the steering means by the user creates a contact allowing electrical energy transfer from the steering means to the handwear which is subsequently transferred from the handwear to accessories attached or integrated to an item of clothing such as a coat using embedded wires or overlying connection to provide the apparel with the ability to power various accessories such as heated handwear, vest, pants and/or footwear, power visor, visibility lamps, cell phone, and the like.
All-inclusive one-piece electrical heating liner for articles of apparel
An all-inclusive electrical heating liner for use in the fabrication of articles of apparel is disclosed. It is comprised of a thermally insulating fabric piece which is shaped to define a dorsal panel and a pair of frontal panels to which are secured patterns of heating wires at specific locations. The spaced relationship between the dorsal panel and the pair of frontal panels is adjustable whereby the liner can be incorporated in articles of apparel of different sizes including small. Medium, large and X-large apparel sizes and gender types. The liner incorporates a power supply, controls, switches, wiring, connectors and other components thereby facilitating the incorporation of the liner into an article of apparel resulting in a cost reduction to the manufacturer of heated articles of apparel. Various embodiments are described to show that the all-inclusive one-piece heating liner is adaptable to many articles which require control heating.
ELECTRICALLY-HEATED FIBER, FABRIC, OR TEXTILE FOR HEATED APPAREL
A heating element composite comprises a substrate of one or more fibers or threads and an electrically-conductive polymer coating comprising an electrically-conductive polymer material deposited onto the one or more fibers or threads. A thickness of the electrically-conductive polymer coating is at least about 100 nanometers and the electrically-conductive polymer coating covers at least about 75% of an external surface area of the one or more fibers or threads of the substrate. The resulting heating element composite has a sheet resistance of from about 2 / to about 200 /.
HAND AND FOOT HEATERS
This invention provides gloves and socks containing printed heaters. The glove or sock with a heater comprises a glove or sock, a substrate with the outline of the glove or sock, and a heater printed on the substrate wherein the substrate is laminated to the glove or sock. The heater comprises two printed conductive bus bars with extensions traversing the substrate and an array of printed resistive areas arranged so that each area is between and overlaps and is contiguous to two conductors, one of which is one of the bus bars or its extensions and the second is the other bus bar or its extensions.
Heated glove
The heated glove is a garment. The heated glove comprises a glove and a control circuit. The control circuit mounts in the glove. The glove is worn on the hand of the client. The control circuit controls the temperature within the protected space provided by the glove. The control circuit is an electric circuit. The control circuit converts chemical potential energy into electrical energy used to heat the protected space provided by the glove.
HEATED ARTICLES OF CLOTHING AND DEVICES
Articles of clothing, such as thermally conductive gloves, are provided. In some embodiments, a glove includes a fabric, a battery, and a fibrous material. The fabric battery may be electrically coupled to the material such that the material becomes thermally conductive when coupled to the battery, and loses its thermal conductivity when no longer coupled to the battery. In some embodiments, the battery couples to the fibrous material via a magnetic attraction.
