DETACHABLE HOLDER FOR HAND WARMERS
A hand warmer assembly and method of using the same. The hand-warmer assembly may include a portable hand-warmer, a pocket, closure mechanism, and a connector. The pocket may be made from an air permeable material and have an opening at one end, with the pocket closed at all other sides. The pocket is provided to be sized and shaped to position a portable hand warmer therein. The opening may be secured with a closure mechanism, such as a flap, zipper, drawstring, hook and loop material such as Velcro fastener, and/or a magnetic fastener. The connector may include a strap and a clasp, with the strap first end located and connected adjacent the open end of the pocket. A second end of the strap may be coupled to a clasp that is configured to be secured to a sleeve or other clothing material such as a mitten or glove.
Infant soothing mitt device
The present invention discloses an infant soothing mitt device primarily comprised of a heating element that warms the entire device and a vibrating disc that produces soothing vibrations. A gel lining is fitted between the exterior and interior surface to amplify and reverberate the vibrations throughout the device. A control module is preferably fitted to the wrist area of the body and is used to control the differing functions of the device, such as the speaker, the heating element and the vibrating disc. The control module also features a battery, which powers the device and the speaker. In this manner, the device can be utilized to keep an infant warm, mimic the rhythmic motion of a caregiver and calm the infant through melodic sounds.
Cooling garments, warming garments, and related methods
The present disclosure generally relates to intelligent garments that provide thermal regulation in a variety of environments. The garments may include different layers such as a hydrophilic layer in direct contact with a wearer's skin surface and saturated with an aqueous mixture, a spacer layer, a reflective layer, and an outer hydrophobic layer. The layers of the garment may work together to reduce the metabolic expenditure of the wearer in extreme environmental conditions or during demanding physical activity. A variety of sensors may be displaced throughout the garments so as to enable the collection of data associated with wearers as well as environmental conditions. Wearers may control the thermal balance and other properties of the garments as desired.
FLAT BATTERY PACK AND HEATED GARMENT COMMUNICATION
A power source for a heated garment. The power source includes a housing, one or more battery cells located within the housing, a first electrical interface provided on the housing for connecting the power source to the heated garment, and a first controller located within the housing and including an electronic processor, a memory, and a transceiver, the first controller coupled to the battery cells and the first electrical interface. The controller is configured to detect the heated garment coupled to the power source at the first electrical interface, receive, with the transceiver, a control signal from an external device, and provide the control signal to a second controller included in the heated garment.
LAYERED THERMAL CLOTHING FOR GAS-BASED HEAT EXCHANGE WITH BODY PARTS
A method and an article of manufacture are disclosed for exchanging heat with a human body part to reduce fever, reduce localized swelling, warm up feet, cool down the body, increase body core temperature, and the like. A double walled water-tight article of clothing, such as a boot or a glove, may include a fluid inlet and outlet. A single walled but water-tight article of clothing may be used around a body part and allow the water to contact the skin inside the article of clothing for more rapid and direct heat exchange. Pumps, heating or cooling elements, thermometers or other devices may be included with the article of clothing. The article of clothing may be compartmentalized to concentrate the fluid around a particular body part. Multilayered articles of clothing are also disclosed to inject a thermal gas into a heat exchange space to cool or warm a user.
Heated gloves
A heated glove in which air warmed by a heat pack insert is circulated to the glove finger and thumb pockets by a pumping arrangement to warm a wearer's fingers and thumb.
EXOTHERMIC GLOVE INSERT
An exothermic glove insert for warming fingertips. The thermal inserts are very thin, ergonomically designed heat packs for use on each individual finger or thumb. The inserts have a non-permeable membrane heat pack cover that allows specifically placed pin holes to produce heat according to a desired profile exactly where it needs to be provided.
WEARABLE ACCESSORY WITH HEAT TRANSFER CAPABILITY
A wearable heat transfer device provides a user with haptic feedback providing sensations of hot or cold. The wearable heat transfer device comprises a heat source/sink and a programmable interface having heat transfer characteristics that are modified based on a signal received by the programmable interface. For example, a thickness of the programmable interface changes based on the received signal, altering heat transfer by the programmable interface. In another example, an electric field is applied to the programmable interface, changing one or more properties of the programmable interface affecting heat transfer.
Electrical active assembly and a clothing assembly comprising the same
The invention relates to an electrical active assembly for generating a physical effect such as heat, cold or humidity, and a textile assembly, such as a clothing assembly, including said electrical active assembly, with an application to a system for regulating the temperature or humidity of a user's body. The electrical assembly comprises a first textile support, a first active element 1 for generating the physical effect, connected to a power source, and located on or in the first textile support, a first sensor 2 for sensing data relative to a physical information, such as temperature or humidity, connected to a power source, and located on or in the first textile support, and a first controlling unit 3 connected to the first active element and sensor, and located on or in the first textile support, such as to allow the activation/deactivation by the first controlling unit of the first active element depending on data sensed by the first sensor. The electrical assembly also comprises a second textile support distinct from the first textile support, a second active element 4 for generating said physical effect, connected to a power source, and located on or in the second textile support, a second sensor 5 for sensing data relative to the physical information, connected to a power source, and located on or in the second textile support, and a second controlling unit 6 connected to the second active element and sensor, and located on or in said second textile support, such as to allow the activation/deactivation by the second controlling unit of the second active element depending on data sensed by the second sensor.
