The present invention relates to a camera for a vehicle and a control method for the same and an exemplary embodiment of the present invention provides a camera for a vehicle which is provided in any one of a plurality of designated installation positions of the vehicle, including: an image sensor which generates a driving image; a receiving unit which receives a plurality of RF signals which are transmitted from a TPMS sensor unit which detects states of a plurality of tires included in the vehicle; and a position determining unit which determines which position among the plurality of installation positions is a position where the camera is installed, based on the plurality of RF signals which is received by the receiving unit.
Instrumented sports paraphernalia system
A system for measuring and displaying the pressure of conventional American-style footballs in real time to game officials and spectators continuously. The value of the football's pressure is measured by physical contact with a Durometer and calculated using a CPU configured with software. Game officials may view the football's pressure locally. A transceiver device continuously transmits the value of the football's pressure, ID, time and date to remote receivers where game officials and spectators may continuously monitor the football's pressure remotely.
Valve stem connector with integrated stem force measurement
A valve stem connector comprises a first half and a second half, each of which includes a top section adapted to receive a portion of an actuator and a bottom section adapted to receive a portion of a valve stem. A plurality of cut-away sections is disposed in each of the first and second halves, and a pair of shear web installation sites is disposed between the plurality of cut-away sections on each of the first and second halves. A force measurement device is disposed in each shear web installation site of the pair of shear web installation sites, the force measurement device for measuring the strain on the valve stem. Each shear web installation site has a shear strain measurable by the force measurement device, and the plurality of cut-away sections allows for a bending beam near each pocket to minimize deflection.
METHOD OF MEASURING THE INFLATION PRESSURE OR TIRES ON A VEHICLE MOVING ALONG A TRAFFIC ROUTE
A method of measuring the inflation pressure of tires (Ppneu) on a vehicle in movement, comprising at least the following steps, during which: a) one measures the pressure exerted on at least one sensor of pressure (1) secured to the ground, in the rolling zone of the tire, by a tire (3) rolling over said sensor (1), b) one measures the time (t) during which the tire (3) rolls over said sensor (1), c) one establishes, during the movement of the tire (3) over said sensor (1), a curve representing the distribution of the forces (Psol) exerted by the tire (3) as a function of the time (t), d) one determines the inflation pressure (Ppneu) of the tire (3) with the aid of a computer, with an algorithmic programming and/or fuzzy logic.
The method comprises at least the following step: e) during step d), the model used takes into account two other parameters, namely, the length (Lpneu) of the tire (3) tread in contact with said sensor (1) during the measurement performed in step b), and the shape (Forme) of the curve obtained in step c).
TIRE WITH A SET OF PRINTED SENSORS
A tire with printed sensors includes a pair of bead areas, a tread disposed radially outwardly of the bead areas, and a pair of sidewalls, including an inboard sidewall extending from a first bead area to the tread, and an outboard sidewall extending from a second bead area to the tread. A carcass extends toroidally between each of the bead areas radially inwardly of the tread, and an innerliner is formed on an inside surface of the carcass. A plurality of sensors are printed on the innerliner in a sidewall zone of the inboard sidewall or in a sidewall zone of the outboard sidewall, and are configured to measure deformation in the sidewall zone. The plurality of sensors are daisy-chained to provide a single deformation signal that is based on the measured deformations of the plurality of sensors.
MAGNETIC DRIVE-OVER SYSTEM PROVIDING TIRE PRESSURE MEASUREMENT
A system for measuring an internal pressure of a tire can include processing circuitry and memory coupled to the processing circuitry. The memory can have instructions stored therein that are executable by the processing circuitry to cause the processing circuitry to perform operations. The operations can include determining an area of a contact patch of the tire on a drive over surface. The operations can further include determining a load on the tire. The operations can further include determining the internal pressure of the tire based on the load on the tire and the area of the contact patch.
Flexible sensors and applications
Sensors incorporating piezoresistive materials are described. One class of includes conductive traces formed directly on or otherwise integrated with the piezoresistive material.
Dynamic tire pressure sensor system for a bike
A dynamic tire pressure sensor system for a bike comprises a dynamic tire pressure sensor device and a user receiving carrier wherein the dynamic tire pressure sensor device comprises at least a tire pressure sensor module, a processing module and a transmission module: the tire pressure sensor module transmits tire pressure change data to the processing module; the processing module either performs data operation independently or transmits tire pressure change data to the user receiving carrier from the transmission module for data operation in order to analyze pedaling cadences and pedaling forces during cycling and provide/display real-time sports information on the user receiving carrier.
Instrumented sports paraphernalia system
A system for measuring and displaying the pressure of conventional American-style footballs in real time to game officials and spectators continuously. In one preferred embodiment, at least one pressure transducer device is disposed inside the football. The pressure transducer is an electrical oscillator. The frequency of oscillation is a known mathematical function of the bladder pressure. At least one pressure readout device is positioned externally to the football at the outside of the cover-liner. The pressure readout device wirelessly stimulates the pressure transducer device to oscillate. The pressure readout device reads the frequency of oscillation and calculates the value of the pressure. In another preferred embodiment, the value of the football's pressure is measured by physical contact with a Durometer. Both embodiments display the pressure to game officials locally; and transmit the value of the football's pressure to spectators remotely.
