Speech enhancement using clustering of cues
10535361 · 2020-01-14 · ·

A method for speech enhancement, the method may include receiving or generating sound samples that represent sound signals that were received during a given time period by an array of microphones; frequency transforming the sound samples to provide frequency-transformed samples; clustering the frequency-transformed samples to speakers to provide speaker related clusters, wherein the clustering is based on (i) spatial cues related to the received sound signals and (ii) acoustic cues related to the speakers; determining a relative transfer function for each speaker of the speakers to provide speakers related relative transfer functions; applying a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) beamforming operation on the speakers related relative transfer functions to provide beamformed signals; and inverse-frequency transforming the beamformed signals to provide speech signals.

Audio signal processing

An audio signal processing apparatus comprises a receiver (403) receiving an audio signal sampled at a first sampling frequency, the audio signal having a maximum frequency below half the first sampling frequency by a first frequency margin. A filter bank (405) generates subband signals for the digital audio signal using overlapping sub-filters. A first frequency shifter (407) applies a frequency shift to at least one subband of the set of subbands and a decimator (409) decimates the subband signals by a decimation factor resulting in a decimated sampling frequency being at least twice a bandwidth of each of the overlapping sub-filters. The frequency shift for a subband is arranged to shift the subband to a frequency interval being a multiple of a frequency interval from zero to half the decimated sample frequency. The subband may be individually processed and the processed subbands may subsequently be combined to generate a full band output signal.

Sound processing with increased noise suppression

A method for processing sound that includes, generating one or more noise component estimates relating to an electrical representation of the sound and generating an associated confidence measure for the one or more noise component estimates. The method further comprises processing, based on the confidence measure, the sound.

Methods and apparatus for reduction of non-linearity errors in automotive pressure sensors. A pressure sensor includes a pressure sensing element including a pair of parallel electrodes, a pair of ceramic plates, rigid glass seals and a connection between the pair of parallel electrodes and an integrated circuit (IC). The IC executes a linear mapping function of a 1/C.sub.X value after a C.sub.X value is captured from the pressure sensing element, C representing a capacitance, the linear mapping function reducing a non-linearity error to enable two point calibration of a relationship between pressure and capacitance.

SUBSTRATE POSITION CALIBRATION FOR SUBSTRATE SUPPORTS IN SUBSTRATE PROCESSING SYSTEMS

Methods and apparatus for substrate position calibration for substrate supports in substrate processing systems are provided herein. In some embodiments, a method for positioning a substrate on a substrate support includes: obtaining a plurality of backside pressure values corresponding to a plurality of different substrate positions on a substrate support by repeatedly placing a substrate in a position on the substrate support, and vacuum chucking the substrate to the substrate support and measuring a backside pressure; and analyzing the plurality of backside pressure values to determine a calibrated substrate position.
