Fiber-optic sensors in a rosette or rosette-like pattern for structure monitoring
An apparatus, and related method, relates generally to a fiber-optic sensing system. In such a system, fiber-optic sensors are in a rosette or rosette-like pattern. An optical circulator is coupled to receive a light signal from a broadband light source, to provide the light signal to the fiber-optic sensors, and to receive a returned optical signal from the fiber-optic sensors. A spectral engine is coupled to the optical circulator to receive the returned optical signal and configured to provide an output signal.
Moving flying object for scanning an object, and system for analyzing damage to the object
An aircraft that includes a helicopter drone on which a 3D scanner is mounted via an actively rotatable joint is provided. The 3D scanner has at least one high-resolution camera for recording a multiplicity of overlapping images of the object from different recording positions and recording directions, so that comparison of the images allows a position and orientation of the 3D scanner relative to the object to be ascertained. In addition, the aircraft has a coordination device for coordinated control of the 3D scanner, the joint and the helicopter drone. The system for damage analysis has an aircraft and an image processing module generating a data representation of a surface profile of the object on the basis of the recorded images. In addition, the system includes a rating device for checking the surface profile and for outputting a damage statement on the basis of the check.
Curling device and flexible screen curling apparatus
A curling device for curling a flexible sheet is provided. The curling device includes: a curling component configured to fix a first end of the flexible sheet; a movable part configured to fix a second end of the flexible sheet, the second end being opposite to the first end; and a transmission mechanism coupled to the curling component and the movable part, respectively; the transmission mechanism is configured to move the movable part relative to the curling component in a first direction, in response to receiving an external driving force, so as to drive the curling component to rotate, the first direction is perpendicular to an axis direction of the curling component.
Fiber optic load sensors and systems therefor
A load sensing system for sensing a load on a structure can include an optical load sensing element configured to change an optical state based on a force applied thereto, an optical source operatively connected to the optical load sensing element and configured to input an input optical signal to the optical load element, and an optical detector configured to receive a returned optical signal from the optical load sensing element. The optical detector can be configured to detect one or more frequency peaks of the returned optical signal and to use the one or more frequency peaks of the returned optical signal to correlate to a load value of the load and output the load value indicative of the load.
Power distribution network monitoring system and power distribution network monitoring device
A power distribution network monitoring system includes a plurality of measuring instruments that are installed at predetermined positions on power lines constituting a power distribution network and configured to perform electrical measurement of the power lines; a data collection relay configured to receive data related to measurement results from the plurality of measuring instruments; an imaging unit that is disposed near the data collection relay and configured to capture an image including the data collection relay; an abnormality detector configured to use the image captured by the imaging unit to detect an abnormality in the data collection relay; and a storage unit configured to store image data taken by the imaging unit. The image data consists of a single image previously captured by the imaging unit. The abnormality detector compares the latest image captured by the imaging unit and the image data stored by the storage unit and determines whether or not an appearance of the data collection relay changes. If it is determined that there is no change in the appearance of the data collection relay, the image data in the storage unit is updated with the latest image captured by the imaging unit.
Simultaneous Multi-Surface Non-Contact Optical Profiler
An optical test system and corresponding method disclosed herein provides highly accurate test data for both sides of a lens simultaneously and efficiently to analyze the surface topography and/or geometric parameters of a lens or lens system. More particularly, the optical test system and corresponding method moves the lens in test plane to align a plurality of points of a test pattern on a lens surface with a vertical axis while probes aligned with the vertical axis and on opposing sides of the lens simultaneously collect wavelength-specific data for both lens surfaces. The optical test system uses the collected wavelength-specific data to produce a surface topography and/or the associated lens geometric parameters for each lens surface.
Tunable light source for optical fiber proximity and testing
Systems and methods for alignment and testing of a photonic device include a light source, an interferometer, a detector, and a processing circuit. The processing circuit may generate control signal(s) for the light source to project a beam through the interferometer to a device under testing (DUT). The interferometer may receive an interference beam from an optical fiber of the DUT. The processing circuit may align optical fiber(s) for the DUT, determine one or more characteristics for the DUT, and so forth based on the interference beam and a reference beam generated by the interferometer.
Method, apparatus and system for calculating stress parameters and computer device
A method, apparatus and system for calculating stress parameters is provided. The method comprises establishing a first image pyramid according to an image of a sample before deformation, and establishing a second image pyramid corresponding to the first image pyramid according to an image of the sample after deformation; starting from a top level in the first image pyramid, iteratively calculating displacement information on each level in the first image pyramid relative to a corresponding level in the second image pyramid based on a center point of each sub-region at each level in the first image pyramid and other positions in the sub-region; calculating strain information on the sample according to displacement information on a bottom level of the first image pyramid; and calculating stress parameters of the sample based on the strain information.
Diagnosis device
A diagnosis device includes a data acquirer, a data recorder, and a health diagnoser. The data acquirer acquires a measurement data of a structure at a predetermined timing. The data recorder causes a storage to store the measurement data acquired by the data acquirer as a standard data. The health diagnoser diagnoses a health of the structure by comparing the measurement data that is acquired by the data acquirer this time with the standard data that has been acquired by the data acquirer last time and stored in the storage.
