Systems and method for use in servicing a machine

A system for use in servicing a machine. The system includes a tubular body including a longitudinal axis, a tip end, a dispensing nozzle defined at the tip end, and an interior channel in flow communication with the dispensing nozzle. The tubular body is configured to be flexible. An actuator is configured to selectively modify an orientation of the tubular body, and a reservoir is in flow communication with the interior channel. The reservoir is configured to supply a maintenance fluid to the tubular body for discharge from the dispensing nozzle.

METHOD FOR MONITORING THE TORSION OF A ROTARY SHAFT ON A TURBOMACHINE OF AN AIRCRAFT

A method for monitoring the torsion of a rotary shaft on an aircraft turbomachine based on the measurements from at least three sensors distributed along the rotary shaft to divide the shaft into at least two shaft segments, the method comprising: a step of measuring, for each sensor, a parameter dependent on the rotation of the shaft, a step of calculating, for each achievable pair of sensors, a parameter related to the torsion of the shaft, a step of comparing the different calculated parameters related to the torsion of the shaft with references, a step of detecting damage on a shaft segment at the end of the comparison step, and a step of indicating the localization of the damage on the shaft from the shaft segment for which damage has been detected.

Method and system for determining an exposure temperature of an engine component using lubrication fluid analysis

Systems and methods are provided for determining an exposure temperature in an engine. One or more particles filtered from lubrication fluid of an engine may be analyzed. The chemical composition of filtered particles may be compared to reference data which includes a relationship between chemical composition and exposure temperature. An estimate of the exposure temperature may be determined. An output may be generated based on the exposure temperature.

Sensor mounting for circumferential interior surface of turbomachine casing

A mounting member for a sensor for a turbomachine having an axis is disclosed. The mounting member includes a body configured to mount to a portion of a circumferential interior surface of a casing of the turbomachine. An opening extends through a radially inner surface of the body, and is configured to position the sensor facing radially inward relative to the axis. A passage in the body extends longitudinally through the body to route a communications lead of the sensor circumferentially relative to the circumferential interior surface of the casing.

The mounting member includes a body configured to mount to a portion of a circumferential interior surface of a casing of the turbomachine. A passage in the body extends longitudinally through the body to route a communications lead of the sensor circumferentially relative to the circumferential interior surface of the casing.

An apparatus for detecting a transient event in an operating machine, the apparatus comprising: a controller configured to control performance of the following steps: a measurement step comprising measuring a periodic signal from a machine; a processing step comprising synchronously processing the periodic signal to track the primary frequency; a filtering step comprising removing the primary periodic component and its harmonics from the periodic signal to yield a filtered dataset; an integration step comprising integrating the filtered dataset over the remaining frequencies to yield an integrated dataset representing the periodic energy at frequencies other than the primary frequency and its harmonics; an analysis step comprising identifying a short-term transient in the integrated dataset to identify a transient disruption in the operation of the machine.
