Mattress test manikin-lateral position
A system for measuring spinal and/or skeletal angles of a manikin in a lateral position. The system comprises a manikin, the manikin comprising one or more articulating joints and a spinal and/or skeletal profile defining a manikin profile, a suspension frame, the suspension frame suspending the manikin, one or more measuring devices connected to the manikin at one or more measuring points, and a support surface, the support surface adjustable in at least a vertical axis. The manikin comprises a suspended configuration when suspended by the suspension frame, and a supported configuration when supported by the support surface. The one or more measuring devices measures differences in the spinal and/or skeletal angles of the manikin profile between the suspended configuration and the supported configuration. The invention provides a system to replicate and measure human physiology when engaged with a surface.
SEAT DRIVEN PRESSURE INSPECTION SYSTEM
A seat driven pressure inspection system includes a main frame installed on one side of an automobile production line for movement of a seat tray for installing the vehicle seat in which a first seat and a second seat are installed in close contact, a rail frame installed in a horizontal direction while facing the automobile production line in an upper end of the main frame, two sensing units installed to be slidably interlocked with the rail frame, moving rearward along the rail frame to approach the main frame when the vehicle seat moves, moving forward along the rail frame to face a measurement position of the vehicle seat when a driven pressure of the vehicle seat is measured, and sensing the driven pressure when the first seat and the second seat are folded or unfolded.
TESTING APPARATUS FOR A REMOVABLE PORTION OF A FURNITURE, AND A METHOD FOR TESTING THE REMOVABLE PORTION
Various embodiments relate to a testing apparatus for a removable portion of a furniture or furniture piece, the test apparatus comprising a holder configured to position the removable portion for testing; and an arm assembly comprising a load, the arm assembly configured to move the load to exert a first force on the removable portion; wherein the load is shaped and/or textured to simulate a part of a human body, and wherein the first force is applied along a first axis of the removable portion.
Test fixture with tunable stroke and resistance to vehicle seat movement during testing
A test fixture for a testing a vehicle seat mounting includes a first portion and a second portion separate from the first portion and having a fulcrum supported thereon. An energy absorbing member is attached to the test fixture first portion and extends around a portion of the fulcrum. The energy absorbing member is formed so as to have a first shape when the test fixture first portion and second portion are spaced apart less than a predetermined distance. The test fixture is structured so that movement of the second portion in a direction away from the first portion causes the fulcrum to slide along the energy absorbing member. Sliding of the fulcrum along the energy absorbing member plastically deforms the energy absorbing member into a second shape different from the first shape.
