Heavy duty engine regulatory testing for identifying torque or energy loss based on heat transfer
A method for testing an engine in a vehicle includes arranging a bath separate from the vehicle configured to cool a driveline component of the vehicle, adjusting a temperature of the driveline component to a target temperature, and responsive to the driveline component achieving the target temperature, operating the engine according to a mapping procedure, and controlling the bath to maintain the temperature of the driveline component at the target temperature during the operating. The method further includes measuring heat transfer from the driveline component to the bath during the operating, and calculating torque loss or energy loss of the driveline component during the operating based on the heat transfer.
Test loop for simulating steam generator with or without axial economizer and test method thereof
Disclosed are a test loop for simulating a steam generator with or without an axial economizer and a test method thereof. The loop includes a cooling water loop, a water supply loop, a recirculated water loop and a power supply. The cooling water loop is used for condensing and cooling wet steam and providing the wet steam to the water supply loop and the recirculated water loop. The water supply loop is used for providing cold-state water supply for a test device, the recirculated water loop is used for reheating cooled water to be saturated and providing the water to the test device. The power supply is used for supplying power to heating equipment and an electric heater in the test device. The present disclosure provides a test method of the loop. Simulation tests can be carried out on a steam generator with or without an axial economizer.
Composite laminate damage detection method using an in-situ thermal gradient and expansion differences across the damage
An example system for in-situ inspection of a composite structure includes a surface-strain imaging apparatus and a controller. The surface-strain imaging apparatus is configured to image an area of an outer surface of the composite structure while a temperature of the composite structure warms to thermal equilibrium with a surrounding environment and a temperature gradient exists within the composite structure. The controller includes a processor and a memory, and is configured to detect, using data received from the surface-strain imaging apparatus, an out-of-plane displacement of the outer surface in the area caused by the temperature gradient. The controller is also configured to determine that the out-of-plane displacement satisfies a threshold condition and, based on determining that the out-of-plane displacement satisfies the threshold condition, flag the area of the outer surface for further inspection.
HEAT TRANSFER TUBE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HEAT TRANSFER TUBE
A heat transfer tube includes: an outer tube; an inner tube inserted into the outer tube so as to be in close contact with the outer tube, to form a double tube with the outer tube; an insertion hole formed, between an outer circumferential surface of the outer tube and an inner circumferential surface of the inner tube, penetrating in a longitudinal direction of the outer tube and the inner tube; and an insertion tube inserted into the insertion hole The insertion tube allows an optical fiber to be inserted into the insertion tube to measure a surface temperature of the double tube.

Test method and test device for adapter
The present disclosure provides a test method and a test device for an adapter. The method includes: detecting temperatures of elements in the adapter; determining whether the adapter is in a temperature balance state according to the temperatures of the elements in the adapter; increasing an ambient temperature of an environment where the adapter is located in response to the temperature balance state; detecting an output power of the adapter, and determining whether the adapter performs a power reduction operation before the temperatures of the elements reach a first preset temperature threshold; and determining that a test for the adapter fails when the power reduction operation does not occur.
DETECTION DEVICE FOR TURBINE BLADE OF AIRCRAFT ENGINE
A detection device for a turbine blade of an aircraft engine includes a machine table, a fixing frame, a dip coating mechanism, and a detection mechanism. A sliding cavity is formed in an upper end of the machine table, a support plate is slidably arranged in the sliding cavity, a side end of the support plate is rotatably connected to a chuck, the fixing frame is in an inverted “U” shape and is fixed on the upper end of the machine table, and a mounting barrel is rotatably arranged on the fixing frame. The dip coating mechanism and the detection mechanism are arranged on the machine table, such that wall-hanging sediments in an air film hole and a cooling channel will be exposed to a first photosensitive camera and a second photosensitive camera through fluorescent liquid, thus completing wall hanging and blockage detection of the blade synchronously.
Optics device for testing cameras useful on vehicles
An illustrative example embodiment of a camera testing device includes a plurality of optic components in a predetermined arrangement that places a center of each of the optic components in a position to be aligned with a line of sight of a respective, predetermined portion of a camera field of view when the plurality of optic components are between the camera and at least one target.
