SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GAS PYCNOMETER AND GAS ADSORPTION ANALYZER CALIBRATION
Systems and methods for calibrating a gas pycnometer utilizing a custom volume reference standard are disclosed. The custom volume reference standard may include a material. The material may include a low CTE and high-accuracy dimensions. The material may have a high-aspect ratio reference shape corresponding to an inner area of a custom made sample cup. The custom volume reference standard may include a specified number of inclusions of the material, a high purity, and/or an accurately known density. The custom volume reference standard may include a known volume.
COLLAPSIBLE FLUID COLLECTION CONTAINER FOR BLOOD DETECTION AND MEASUREMENT
Disclosed are methods, materials and devices for approximation of blood volume in a fluid, such as in a biological fluid collected during a surgical procedure. The method and devices include the use of a RBC flocculant, such as polyDADMAC, and an approximate blood hematocrit for the type of animal, as well as a calculated RBC packing ratio corresponding to the collection device being used. Also provided is a Blood Indicator Panel (BIP), comprising a series of markings calculated from an observed red blood settlement volume, the average animal type hematocrit, and a calculated RBC packing ratio “η” value for the collection device. Pediatric (about 200 ml or 250 ml size container), adult human (about 1,000 ml-1,500 ml) and veterinary (about 500 ml-2,500 ml) collection containers are also disclosed, that include a RBC flocculant, for use in approximating blood volume in a fluid.

METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE BULK DENSITY OF BULK MATERIAL IN A MOBILE CRUSHER
A method determines the bulk density of bulk material (2) in a mobile crusher, in which the bulk material volume of bulk material (2) delivered onto a conveyor belt (1) is determined. The method is configured such that the bulk material weight can be determined reliably over a relatively prolonged operating period of a mobile crusher, even with varying bulk material density. Both the bulk material volume and the bulk material weight of a conveyor belt section (3) are sensed in successive time steps, and the bulk density is determined from the quotient of the bulk material weight and the bulk material volume.

According to the present invention, it is possible to preventing stagnation of water at a space between the battery cell jig and the spacer when measuring the volume change of the battery cell using the principle of Archimedes by including a slit opened along a longitudinal direction in the spacer.
