Method for determining process conditions to remove volatile organic compounds from polymer
The present application relates to a method for determining process conditions to remove volatile organic compounds from a polymer product through blowing. According to the method of the present application, time and energy can be saved.
MEASURING DEVICE FOR MEASURING AN INTENSIVE MEASURAND
In a measuring device for measuring an intensive measurand, including at least one measuring chamber having at least one opening, the opening being placeable on the body to be examined. At least three sensors for measuring the intensive measurand are arranged in the measuring chamber, the sensors being arranged at different distances from the body to be examined during measurement. An evaluation device being provided which receives the values measured by the sensors and determines a total value for the intensive measured variable from the at least three measured values as well as a substance or energy diffusion rate.
Diffusion Cell Clamping and Assembly Tools
A diffusion/permeation cell, commonly referred to as a Franz cell, is provided for topical or transdermal drug delivery research and development in the pharmaceutical industry. The cell comprises a receptor container, a donor chamber, a quick clamping apparatus, and/or an assembly tool. Systems and methods provide a cost-effective diffusion cell, especially for use with an automatic diffusion release testing system.
Automated dissolution/permeation testing system
Combined dissolution rate and permeation rate testing apparatus includes temperature-controllable testing cell units arranged on a housing frame. Each testing cell unit includes a donor chamber receivable of dissolution media, a receptor chamber receivable of bodily fluid, gaskets that retain a membrane between the two chambers, and controllable mixers that mix the fluid in the receptor chamber. A flow control arrangement operatively circulates dissolution media through the donor chamber and enables sampling of the dissolution media. Another flow control arrangement operatively circulates bodily fluid through the receptor chamber. An analysis unit analyzes dissolution media removed from the donor chamber and bodily fluid removed from the receptor chamber to provide data about dissolution of a pharmaceutical product dissolved in the dissolution media and permeation of the pharmaceutical product through the membrane into the bodily fluid.
DIFFUSION MONITORING PROTOCOL FOR OPTIMIZED TISSUE FIXATION
The subject disclosure presents systems and computer-implemented methods for evaluating a tissue sample that has been removed from a subject. A change in speed of the energy traveling through the sample is evaluated to monitor changes in the biological sample during processing. The rate of change in the speed of the energy is correlated with the extent of diffusion. A system for performing the method can include a transmitter that outputs the energy and a receiver configured to detect the transmitted energy. A time-of-flight of acoustic waves and rate of change thereof is monitored to determine an optimal time for soaking the tissue sample in a fixative.
Methods and apparatus for the in vitro modelling of drug administration
Methods and apparatus for the in vitro modelling of changes that occur on administration of a drug formulation are described, in particular for studying the changes that take place on administration of protein or peptide drug formulations by subcutaneous injection.
IN VITRO METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ANALYSING THE BEHAVIOUR OF SUBSTANCES IN SIMULATED PHYSIOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT
The invention refers to an in vitro method and apparatus for analysing the behaviour of substances in simulated physiological environment. The method comprises the steps of providing a first fluid, a gel matrix and a second fluid, separating the first fluid and the gel matrix by at least one first semi-permeable membrane and separating the gel matrix and the second fluid by at least one second semi-permeable membrane. The method further comprises the steps of injecting a substance into the first fluid, letting the substance migrate from the first fluid through the at least one first semi-permeable membrane, through the gel matrix, through the at least one second semi-permeable membrane and into the second fluid, and determining clearance of the substance from the first fluid.
Process for Evaluating The Catalytic Performance of A Porous Solid
Process for evaluating the catalytic performance of a porous solid using a vapor diffusion technique, where a probe molecule and a molecule for dead-time determination is injected into a carrier gas that is then contacted with the porous solid in a vessel, where a detector analyzes the peak width and retention time of a probe molecule and the retention time of the molecule for dead-time determination in the gas exiting the vessel.
DIFFUSION CHROMATOGRAPHY FLUID ANALYSIS
Methods, systems, devices, and products for evaluating a fluid. Methods include introducing a sample comprising the fluid to a solvating fluid at a point in a chamber associated with the instrument at a first time to create a heterogeneous admixture; measuring concentrations of each of a plurality of components in the admixture at a plurality of distances from the point in the chamber at, at least one additional time later than the first time, each of the plurality of distances being non-zero; and estimating a relative concentration for each of the plurality of components in the fluid by extrapolating the relative concentration of each of the plurality of components in the sample at the point at the first time using the measured concentrations in the admixture at the plurality of distances.
Method and apparatus for the inspection of a paper web wound on a bobbin
An apparatus adapted to examine a paper web includes a rotatable first bobbin, a rotatable second bobbin, and a first testing device. The first bobbin has a paper we wound thereabout that has transverse bands spaced apart along a length thereof. The second bobbin is arranged to receive the paper web from the first bobbin with a paper web path defined between the first and second bobbins. The first testing device is disposed along the paper web path and is arranged to nondestructively measure a diffusivity of one of the transverse bands of the paper web.
