System to adapt an optical device to calculate a condition value
A system usable to adapt an optical device to calculate a condition value. The system utilizes data from an optical device about a field of vision to calculate a condition value such as temperature for a target within the field of vision. The system makes use of an adapter connected to the optical device for transmitting adapter output data and a converter that accesses the adapter output data to calculate the condition value. The adapter components can weigh less than 3 ounces, and encompass a volume of less than 4 cubic inches, making it suitable for deployment on a drone, or remotely operated vehicle.

Method for the Determination of Residual Moisture on and/or Within a Lens Forming Surface
A method for determining residual moisture on and/or within a lens forming surface of a mold half includes the steps of carrying out an infrared inspection of at least a central portion of the lens forming surface of the mold half with the aid of an infrared camera, collecting measurement values resulting from the infrared inspection, which represent a degree of residual moisture on and/or within the lens forming surface, comparing the collected measurement values with a predefined threshold value representing a maximum tolerable residual moisture on and/or within a lens forming surface of a reference mold half, and, upon detection of an exceedance of the predefined threshold value representing the maximum tolerable residual moisture, preventing the inspected mold half from being used further.
Water-containing substance detection device, water-containing substance detection method, and method of manufacturing rubbery polymer
A water-containing substance detection device that detects a water-containing rubbery polymer, includes a conveyor configured to convey rubbery polymers; and a detector configured to detect the water-containing rubbery polymer among the rubbery polymers, conveyed by the conveyor, by a temperature sensor. The conveyor has a surface with an emissivity of 0.50 or more. The temperature sensor has a frame rate falling within a range of 5 Hz to 120 Hz. The detector detects the water-containing rubbery polymer, near an ejection port of the conveyor, and on a downstream side of the ejection port.
