Spun and Tapered Faux Hair With Crochet Portal
20170099901 · 2017-04-13 ·

A hair extension is formed by wrapping a mid-region of a length of yarn around a stick or pole. The removal of the stick or pole created a hollow interior, with the portal on one end of the hair extension and tapering of the other end. One can then attach the hair extension to hair. The hair extension is light weight by virtue of the hollow interior and can return to its original shape, structure, and length when forces acting on the tapered end stretch the length of the extension.

09596898 · 2017-03-21 ·

A method for forming a combination of natural and artificial hair on a person's head without a braid foundation includes the steps of providing a wefted hair extension having artificial hair, a sew-in needle and a thread pair extending therefrom. The method includes parting the person's natural hair so as to form a plurality of adjacent hair root sections forming a starter knot about a starter root section by looping the thread pair about the starter root section using the sew-in needle. A foundation is created laterally across a person's head along the part line by repeatedly looping the thread pair around respective hair root sections between the starter and ending root sections. Then, the wefted hair extension is sewn to the foundation track using the sew-in needle and the thread pair so as to form a combination of natural and artificial hair extending from the person's head.

20250082056 · 2025-03-13 · ·

This disclosure extends to systems, apparatus, and methods related to the creation of customized hair extensions. Systems in accordance with this disclosure may include unique tresses for creating custom hair extensions. These multi-purpose designs enable the tress to be used for different hair extension styles easily and quickly in any style and then easily attach the custom hair extensions for wear. These unique tress designs may allow for attachment to the user's hair in multiple ways. The uppermost slat may be configured for seamless sew-in attachment, a series of connection holes may be positioned for attachment to user's hair pulled therethrough by beaded or tube attachment, with upper holes allowing for a halo-style attachment, and parallel rows of slots allow for hair integration to provide attachment to the user's natural hair, with the blending of the attached wefts with the user's natural hair.

A method for installing weft hair extensions including sectioning a user's hair to form a part, securing beads on sections of the user's hair, and positioning a weft along the part. The method also includes locating a middle portion of a user's head and coupling the weft to the user's hair at the middle portion of the user's head by tying an anchor knot around the weft and the user's hair. The method also includes stitching a first stitching section and a second stitching section. The method also includes positioning a second weft over the first and second stitching sections and coupling the second weft to the weft and the user's hair at the middle portion of the user's head by tying a second anchor knot around the second weft, the weft, and the user's hair. The method also includes stitching a third stitching section and a fourth stitching section.

A substrate is coupled to a scalp of a user and a hair extension element is attached to the substrate. The substrate can be permanently or temporarily attached to the scalp using various techniques, such as adhesive, piercing, or sewing. The substrate may be made of a mesh material. The substrate may include a first coupling mechanism that interacts with a second coupling mechanism on the hair extension element. These coupling mechanisms can include zippers, interlocking mechanisms, magnetic elements, snaps, fasteners, or a combination thereof to facilitate easy and secure attachment. The hair extension can be removably, semi-permanently, or permanently bonded to the substrate.
