An image capture device may include a first spectral filter and a second spectral filter arranged so that a panoramic image capture operation captures light filtered by the first spectral filter and light filtered by the second spectral filter in a same region of a combined image and one or more processors to: capture a plurality of images based on the panoramic image capture operation; extract first information and second information from the plurality of images, wherein the first information is associated with the first spectral filter and the second information is associated with the second spectral filter; identify an association between the first information and the second information based on a feature captured in the plurality of images via the first spectral filter and the second spectral filter; and store or provide information based on the association between the first information and the second information.
Apparatuses for analyzing the optical properties of a sample
A method of analysing a sample in the form of a droplet provided on a sample-receiving surface includes providing a light source and a detector in a housing, positioning said sample-receiving surface in or on the housing, and focussing an incident beam of light to a focal point in the vicinity of the sample. Light is detected from the sample resulting from an interaction with the sample, the sample-receiving surface, or the atmosphere surrounding the sample. At least one parameter of the detected light is measured, and the sample-receiving surface is translated relative to the housing such that the focal point is at a different region of the sample, the sample-receiving surface, or the atmosphere surrounding the sample. The step of measuring one or more parameters of the detected light is repeated following the translating step.
ESTIMATING A CONDITION OF A PHYSICAL STRUCTURE
In a computer-implemented method and system for capturing the condition of a structure, the structure is scanned with an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Data collected by the UAV corresponding to points on a surface of a structure is received and a 3D point cloud is generated for the structure, where the 3D point cloud is generated based at least in part on the received UAV data. A 3D model of the surface of the structure is reconstructed using the 3D point cloud.

Temperature adjusted modulation of a signal center wavelength in liquid absorption spectroscopy
Increased precision for liquid absorption spectroscopy, especially for in vivo samples of human analytes, is obtained by varying the signal or signal and interference central wavelengths when the temperature of the sample site varies beyond a selected threshold used for determining standardized signal or signal and interference central wavelengths. The amount of variance for a central wavelength of the signal beam which includes 1,150 nm is approximately 2 nm or less.
Nanoscale scanning sensors
A sensing probe may be formed of a diamond material comprising one or more spin defects that are configured to emit fluorescent light and are located no more than 50 nm from a sensing surface of the sensing probe. The sensing probe may include an optical outcoupling structure formed by the diamond material and configured to optically guide the fluorescent light toward an output end of the optical outcoupling structure. An optical detector may detect the fluorescent light that is emitted from the spin defects and that exits through the output end of the optical outcoupling structure after being optically guided therethrough. A mounting system may hold the sensing probe and control a distance between the sensing surface of the sensing probe and a surface of a sample while permitting relative motion between the sensing surface and the sample surface.

In one aspect, a system for performing flow cytometry is disclosed, which comprises a laser for generating laser radiation for illuminating a sample, at least one detector for detecting at least a portion of a radiation emanating from the sample in response to said illumination so as to generate a temporal signal corresponding to said detected radiation, and an analysis module for receiving said temporal signal and performing a statistical analysis of said signal based on a forward model to reconstruct an image of said sample.

A method and a system for analyzing a fluid sample for a biological activity. The method includes, providing a filter unit including a membrane having a front face and a rear face, passing the fluid sample through the filter membrane from its front face, applying the filter unit in a container, adding a medium into the container, and performing a scanning and image analyzing procedure of the filter membrane using at least one selected scanning wavelength. The scanning is an optical 3D scanning and includes acquiring a plurality of images along at least one scanning path.
Methods and systems for multidimensional imaging
A multi-depth confocal imaging system includes at least one light source configured to provide excitation beams and an objective lens. The excitation beams are focused into a sample at a first plurality of focus depths along an excitation direction through the objective lens. An image sensor receives emissions from the sample via the objective lens, wherein the emissions define foci relative to the image sensor at a second plurality of focus depths.
