A hair extension tool simultaneously attaches multiple hair extensions to a recipient's hair. The tool has upper and lower handles that are mechanically coupled in a parallel orientation. The handles are moveable, and the coupling has a quiescent state in which the handles are spaced apart. The tool includes an upper arc and a lower arc that have substantially the same shape. The upper and lower arcs are attached to the handles on their convex sides. The upper arc includes multiple teeth, and each tooth has a substantially semicircular concave opening. The lower arc includes teeth that fit into the openings in the teeth of the upper arc when the upper and lower handles are brought together. Each tooth in the lower arc includes a groove for holding a group of strands of the recipient's hair. The upper arc includes a heating element that is activated by a button.

The disclosure includes embodiments of a semi-permanent hair extension apparatus and a method or installing the same. The semi-permanent hair extension apparatus can include a plurality of microbeads and a plurality of hair extension wefts. The plurality of microbeads can each include an opening for receiving a plurality of strands of human hair longitudinally therethrough, and a receiving component positioned thereon so as to releasably connect the microbead to a hair extension weft. Each of the plurality of hair extension wefts can include a plurality of strands of hair connected thereto and one or more fastening components positioned thereon and being complementary to each of the one or more receiving components so as to facilitate a removable connection therebetween. The method can include securing a plurality of microbeads to one or more strands of human hair at predetermined intervals and connecting extension wefts to each of the plurality of microbeads.

The invention relates to an applicator (1) for replacement hair strands, one end of the hair of which is embedded into a thermoplastic element. The applicator has a punch/die unit (5, 6), the mutually facing working profiled sections of which are adapted to the shape of at least one thermoplastic element. In order to ensure a fault-free, continuous hot-melt adhesion between a person's own hair strands and the replacement hair strands, the punch (6) is arranged on a pivoting head (10) which supports an additional punch (11) with substantially the same contours, wherein the punch (6) is provided with a heating device (12), and the additional punch (11) is provided with a cooling device (13).

An acrylic fiber for artificial hair includes an acrylic polymer, wherein the acrylic polymer includes 29.5 to 79.5% by mass of acrylonitrile, 20 to 70% by mass of vinyl chloride and/or vinylidene chloride, and 0.5 to 5% by mass of a vinyl monomer comprising a sulfonic acid group. The acrylic fiber for artificial hair includes 0.3 to 2% by mass of a good solvent for the acrylic polymer and 0.1 to 5% by mass of a compound comprising an epoxy group.

A hairpiece holder that includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion may include one or more protrusions extending therefrom, which protrusion(s) may be adapted to position at least one hairpiece relative to the first portion. The second portion may be couplable to the first portion. And when the first and second portions are in a closed position, the first and second portions may define a sealed cavity which encloses the protrusion(s).

A colored hair extension tape includes a tape base, an adhesive layer provided on one side of the tape base and a protective cover that covers the adhesive layer. The other side of the tape base is colored with a predetermined color. A tape insert is provided between the adhesive layer and the protective cover to facilitate handling of the tape and overlaps the adhesive layer by a predetermined with and extends beyond the protective cover by a predetermined distance. The colored hair extension tape is used to attach a hair extension to a customer's hair. Alternatively, such colored hair extension tape is provided as an integral part of the hair extension.

Various methods are used to attach hair extensions to a user's hair. According to one method, a user's hair is parted and adhesive tape of a first extension is attached to hair above the part. The first extension and attached hair are lowered, and a second extension is positioned above the lowered extension such that adhesive tape of the second extension substantially aligns with the first extension's tape. The second extension's tape is attached to the user's hair to sandwich the hair between the two extensions. According to another method, a user's hair is parted and a first adhesive tape on one side of an extension is attached to hair below the part. Hair above the part is lowered and attached to the extension's other side using a second tape. A third tape is attached to the user's hair below the first tape to sandwich the hair between the tapes.

The invention could comprise a hair augmentation system comprising a binding comb comprising a handle supporting both a prong section and a clamp, the clamp is capable of removably securing to the binding comb one or more hair strands held by the prong section; an adhesive tray for applying extension adhesive to an adhesive applicator; the adhesive applicator moving in the adhesive tray to transfer extension adhesive to the one or more hair extensions held by an extension applicator; and the extension applicator that removably mates to the binding comb so that the one or more of hair extensions with extension adhesive simultaneously binds with one or more of hair stands as held by the binding comb.

The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for supplementing human hair. A system and method includes a wire coupled to an existing hair, wherein the wire pulls the existing hair through a funnel and microtube. A sleeve with supplemental hairs is positioned on the microtube and configured to be coupled to the existing hair. After the existing hair passes through the microtube, the wire, funnel, and microtube are removed, thus leaving the supplemental hairs coupled to the existing hair via the sleeve. An alternative system and method includes one or more tools for installing two halves of a sleeve with supplemental hairs extending therefrom onto a strand of existing hair. The one or more tools are configured to guide the strand of existing hair into engagement with the halves of the sleeve, thus securing the sleeve and the supplemental hairs on the strand of existing hair.

A support (10) for attaching an accessory (30) for decorating or embellishing a person's body, the accessory (30) comprising an object (32) to which a magnetized base (34) is attached, the support (10) comprising a solid substrate (12) having an adhesive back side (14) configured to adhere to a portion of the body (22), and a magnetic compound (16) attached to said substrate (12) and configured to removably retain the accessory (30) on the support (10).
