Various methods are used to attach hair extensions to a user's hair. According to one method, a user's hair is parted and adhesive tape of a first extension is attached to hair above the part. The first extension and attached hair are lowered, and a second extension is positioned above the lowered extension such that adhesive tape of the second extension substantially aligns with the first extension's tape. The second extension's tape is attached to the user's hair to sandwich the hair between the two extensions. According to another method, a user's hair is parted and a first adhesive tape on one side of an extension is attached to hair below the part. Hair above the part is lowered and attached to the extension's other side using a second tape. A third tape is attached to the user's hair below the first tape to seal the hair between the tapes.

A tool for removing an adhesive from a hair weft includes a base portion having a first region with an interior surface, and a second region; a partial covering portion having a first region with an access aperture exposing the interior surface of the base portion, and a second region; a pivotable hinge coupling the base portion and the partial covering portion and configured to allow the base portion and the partial covering to bias relative to each other; and a containment aperture configured to hold a roll of a fabric therein, the aperture at least partially bounded by the second region of the base portion and the second region of the partial covering portion.

Extension devices for attaching hair extension elements to artificial hair elements that protrude from a subcutaneously implanted hair implant anchor body. One extension device involves a cylindrical structure having respective cavities on opposing ends. One cavity receives the distal end of the artificial hair element while the other cavity receives the hair extension therein. Another extension device involves a hair extension element forming a first portion of the device while a second opposite portion includes a projection that is received inside a hollow interior of the artificial hair element. A third extension device involves a core having a hair extension element projecting from one side of the core while a single cavity is located on a second side, opposite the one side, and which receives the distal end of the artificial implanted hair element therein. The hair extension may comprise ancillary hair elements and bud structures. Ornamental structures may be included on the distal ends of the hair extension element.

A hair accessory has a helical elastic band that forms a closed circle. The hair accessory also has a weft having a hair retention member and a plurality of strands that extend from the strand retention member. The weft is spirally wrapped around the elastic band so that the weft completely encases the helical elastic band and allows the helical elastic band to move between an enlarged configuration and a contracted configuration. The helical elastic band is biased to the contracted configuration.

A hairpiece holder that includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion may include one or more protrusions extending therefrom, which protrusion(s) may be adapted to position at least one hairpiece relative to the first portion. The invention relates to a hair extension. In a preferred embodiment, the hair extension comprises strands that are attached together in such a way as to provide a substantially flat configuration, such that opposed sides are defined. This helps the hair extension to lay flat against a person's head. The opposed sides may have different hair colors on them, allowing flexibility and additional styling options. Preferably, the aligned hairs are compressed into a narrowed tip section, which is used to fasten the hair extension to a person's natural hair, using a deformable member such as a micro ring. A method of manufacturing the hair extension, and a method of attaching the hair extension to a subject, are also disclosed.
