The at least one movable elongation is configured to raise and lower from the surface of the rotatable platform, move parallel to the surface, and manipulate the deformable article to thereby fold the deformable article at one of the one or more fold lines. The device includes a table drive configured to rotate the rotatable platform about a central axis such that the at least one elongation aligns with one of the one or more fold lines, and at least one sensor configured to detect the deformable article position and orientation on the rotatable platform. A controller is in operable communication with the at least one elongation drive, the table drive, and the at least one sensor.
Automated garment manufacturing using adhesive bonding
Systems and methods are described that provide for automated manufacturing of garments using cutting, folding tools and adhesive dispensers operating on continuous webs of fabric webs to manufacture garments in an efficient manner while improving quality and overcoming material handling issues resulting from the properties of fabrics.
Domestic Compact Article Folding Machine Having Stacked Conveyor Layers and Folding Method Therefor
A domestic compact article folding machine (10) configured for autonomous article folding has machine top and bottom ends (12, 14) and a uniform machine body portion which extends therebetween. The folding machine (10) includes an active loading system (20) located at the machine top end (12), at least five stacked conveyor layers (38) and an active unloading system (22) located at the machine bottom end (14). Outer dimensions of the folding machine (10) are equal or smaller than a domestic appliance for article treatment. The folding machine (10) is configured to fold the article at least once in a width of the article and at least once in a length thereof.
Apparatus and method for making and folding an article
A method for manufacturing and folding a gown which increases manufacturing efficiency and consistency and decreases the time to manufacture. Additionally, the method includes folding a gown for packaging which will allow a person to don the gown with minimal contact with the outer portions of the gown.
RECUT POLYOLEFIN FOAM AS A DISPOSABLE MASK SEAL
Embodiments relate generally to systems, devices, and methods for utilizing re-cut polyolefin foam in seals for respiratory masks. A method for constructing a respiratory mask may include splitting polyolefin foam to provide a re-cut polyolefin foam, wherein the re-cut polyolefin foam comprises a first surface comprising wrinkles and a second surface that is substantially free of wrinkles, wherein the first surface is opposite to the second surface; and attaching the first surface to an interior portion of a respiratory mask, wherein the interior portion is a seal portion of the respiratory mask.
AUTOMATED GARMENT MANUFACTURING USING ADHESIVE BONDING
A system for automated manufacturing of apparel that includes a fabric dispenser operable to dispense a first web of fabric and a second web of fabric, the first web of fabric forming a front of an apparel and the second web of fabric forming a back of the apparel. The system includes an adhesive dispenser configured to apply discrete non-contiguous adhesive masses to the first web of fabric. The system includes one or more presses operable to join the first web and the second web along the side seams and shoulder seams of the apparel. The system further includes a cutting tool operable to make partial cuts to the first web of fabric along lines corresponding to a neck hole, bottom hem, and arm holes of the apparel located on the first web of fabric, the cutting tool further configured to cut the apparel out of a joined first web and second web of fabric by cutting along the side seams of the first web of fabric and the second web of fabric and cutting the bottom hem, the neck hole, and the arm holes on the second web of fabric.
Clothes folding device
The present disclosure relates to a clothes folding device including: a loading assembly which causes the clothes to be pushed-in and seats the clothes on a first folding layer equipped with a conveyor for transport; a folding assembly which performs the folding of the clothes while the pushed-in clothes are transported; and an unloading assembly which is disposed below the folding assembly and loads the clothes discharged by the folding assembly. The loading assembly includes: a seating plate which forms an inclined surface at an inlet and allows the clothes to be seated thereon; a clamp assembly which fixes the clothes and moves the clothes to the first folding layer; and a transport roller which presses the clothes seated on the first folding layer and rotates together with the moving of the clothes while pressing the clothes, and thus, preventing the clothes from being separated. The clamp assembly includes a wheel assembly and a clamp plate which presses inserted clothes from both sides. The wheel assembly includes a unidirectional rotating wheel which rotates together with the inserted clothes.
Garments with two-way pleated elements and methods for manufacturing thereof
A method for manufacturing of garments comprises the steps of obtaining a pattern of a garment, cutting at least one fabric according to the pattern into a plurality of fabric pieces, attaching the plurality of fabric pieces together to create an unfinished garment, and forming a final garment by pleating the unfinished garment. The pleating step creates at least one one-way pleated element and at least one two-way pleated element in the final garment. Pleats of the at least one one-way pleated element and pleats of the at least one two-way pleated element are created without securing the pleats in place.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ELASTIC PANTS
The invention relates to a method for continuously manufacturing elastic pants (28), wherein a flat web material (1, 16, 19) is continuously conveyed in a longitudinal direction (8) of the web material (1, 16, 19), is shaped into a closed tube (4), and is closed in the longitudinal direction (8). The closed tube (4) forms a first outer layer (9). Elastic threads (10) in the form of a tubular reinforcement are then wound around the first outer layer (9) in the conveying direction (8) in such a way that the elastic threads (10) are taut when the outer layer (9) has a convex shape. A second outer layer (15) is then continuously applied to the elastic threads (10) in the conveying direction (8) and is joined to the elastic threads (10) and/or the first outer layer (9). The first outer layer (9), the elastic threads (10) and the second outer layer (15) form an elastic pants web material (21). Further down in the conveying direction (8), the pants web material (21) is closed along a joining section (29) in regular intervals such that the joining section (29) forms two approximately equally large opening sections that lie opposite each other in the transverse direction. Further down in the conveying direction (8), the pants web material (21) is cut at a distance from the joining section (29) such that a pair of elastic pants (28) is formed.
