10342278 · 2019-07-09 ·

An apparatus for positioning an output end of a hydration tube near a region of a user's mouth includes an arm and a mounting mechanism. The arm is formable to extend in a generally vertical direction along a side of the user's head or neck and in a generally horizontal direction toward the user's mouth. The arm includes a side region and a front region coupled to the side region. The front region is configured to have a portion of the hydration tube including the output end attached thereto and subsequently detached therefrom without affecting the structural integrity of the front region or the hydration tube. The mounting mechanism is associated with the arm and is configured to attach the arm to a body gear configured to be worn near the user's head or neck, and subsequently detach the arm from the body gear without affecting the structural integrity of the arm and the body gear.

A beverage dispensing headwear having an umbrella affixed thereto. A pair of container holders is affixed on opposing sides of a helmet. A three-way valve is fastened to the helmet, wherein a first and second intake tube are fluidly connected to the three-way valve on a proximal end and are configured to be inserted into a container held within one of the container holders on a distal end. An output tube is also fluidly connected to the three-way valve on a proximal end of the output tube. The output tube extends below the rim of the helmet at a distal end, wherein the distal end of the output tube is configured to be sucked on by a user. Additionally, an umbrella is affixed to the helmet.

Hydration system and components thereof

A headset for a hydration system is disclosed. The headset includes a fluid conduit adapted to connect to a distal end of a hydration system supply tube, and a magnetic quick connect having an upstream and a downstream coupling member. The upstream and downstream coupling members have a common mating axis and together define a portion of the fluid conduit. The upstream member also includes an off-axis arm that may be rotated about the mating axis without decoupling the coupling members. A headgear mount for use in headsets for hydration systems, such as the disclosed headset, is also provided.

HYDRATION AND AIR COOLING SYSTEM

A magnetic quick connect for a fluid delivery system includes a male coupling member and a female coupling member. The male coupling member defines a first outer fluid communication path and includes a first magnetic material. A first inner member is disposed within the first outer fluid communication path and defines a first inner communication path. The female coupling member defines a second outer fluid communication path and includes a second magnetic material. A second inner member is disposed within the second outer fluid communication path and defines a second inner communication path. The male and female coupling members are detachably held together by an attractive force between the first and second magnetic materials such that the first and second outer communication paths are held in fluid communication, and the first and second inner communication paths are held in fluid communication.
