POWER DISTRIBUTION NETWORK MONITORING SYSTEM
A power distribution network monitoring system (1) comprises a CT sensor (7) and a power management device (51). The CT sensor (7) includes a measurement component (71) and a transmitter (73). The measurement component (71) is installed at a plurality of predetermined positions along a power line constituting the power distribution network, and measures current of the power line at each predetermined position. The transmitter (73) wirelessly transmits, as transmission data, the power spectrums of the fundamental wave, third harmonic, and fifth harmonic, as well as the effective current values used to detect abnormalities in the power distribution network, the data being at least part of the data measured by the measurement components. The power management device (51) includes a receiver (53a) and a management database (54). The receiver (53a) receives the transmission data. The management database (54) stores the received data.

SERVICE SWITCH FOR UTILITY METER
A utility meter includes an electrical conductor portion, a service switch, and a heat sink. The electrical conductor portion provides electrical communication between a supply line terminal and a load line terminal, and the supply line terminal electrical communication an electrical source. The service switch is selectively operable to interrupt electrical communication between the supply line terminal and the load line terminal. The heat sink is in thermal communication with the electrical conductor portion to dissipate heat generated by a current passing through the electrical conductor portion between the supply line terminal and the load line terminal.
Switch System and Method for Switching a Switch
A switching system for an electricity meter, an electricity meter with a switch system and a method of switching switch are provided. In order to improve lifetime of the switch the timing of outputting a switching signal is adjusted based on a time difference between previously outputting the switching signal and achieving a predefined switching state.

Sacrificial Anodes for Use in Meters
A sacrificial anode for use with a meter is provided. The sacrificial anode comprising an anode body including one or more anodic metals, the anode body being configured to be positioned in a problem area of the meter including a cathodic metal, such that the anode body corrodes in place of the cathodic metal of the problem area preserving the cathodic metal. Related meters and systems are also provided.
Electrical contact switch, electrical contactor and method of preventing or inhibiting contact bounce of electrical contactor
An electrical contact switch for use in an electrical contactor, which comprises first and second electrical terminals, an electrically-conductive busbar in electrical communication with the first electrical terminal, and at least one fixed electrical contact which is attached to the electrically-conductive busbar. The switch also has an electrically-conductive moveable arm in electrical communication with the second electrical terminal, with at least one moveable electrical contact which is attached to the electrically-conductive moveable arm to form an electrical contact set with the fixed electrical contact. A fixed ferromagnetic element is positioned at or adjacent to a side of the electrically-conductive moveable arm proximate the second electrical terminal, and a moveable ferromagnetic element is provided in physical communication with a side of the electrically-conductive moveable arm which is opposite to the fixed ferromagnetic element. In a closed condition of the electrical contact set, the electrically-conductive moveable arm induces a magnetic field in the fixed and moveable ferromagnetic elements, and thus the moveable ferromagnetic element is magnetically attracted towards the fixed ferromagnetic element to thereby increase a contact pressure on the electrical contact set. An electrical contactor and method of preventing or inhibiting contact bounce of an electrical contactor are also provided.
