The disclosed converter has an N-type power electronic conversion leg that consists of two sets of power electronic devices with their both ends connected to a capacitor to form a DC bus and their mid-point connected to the common reference point through an inductor and a current sensor. The disclosed converter has one or more power electronic conversion leg that consists of two sets of power electronic devices with the positive end connected to the positive rail of the DC bus and the negative end connected either to the common reference point N, in which case the power electronic conversion leg is denoted the A-type, or to the negative rail of the DC bus, in which case the power electronic conversion leg is denoted the B-type. For each present A-type or B-type power electronic conversion leg, its mid-point is connected to one terminal of the corresponding input/output port, together with a current sensor connected between the common reference point and the other terminal of the corresponding input/output port. The disclosed converter also has a capacitor connected to the positive rail of the DC bus and the common reference point through a current sensor. A storage system and/or a load can be connected in parallel with or in place of this capacitor. The disclosed converter can be used for DC/DC, AC/DC, DC/AC, and AC/AC conversion.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETECTING PEOPLE ON THE GROUND
In a method for detecting people on a floor, at least three electrodes are integrated into the floor of the room that is to be monitored. Respective measurement axes are taken into account and associated with multiple pairs of electrodes integrated into the floor. The detection method includes the following steps: for each pair of electrodes, measuring a capacitance between the two electrodes of the pair; positioning a measurement point in a coordinate system defined by N of the measurement axes at coordinates provided by the capacitances measured for the pairs of electrodes respectively associated with the N measurement axes, where N is a number greater than 1; and detecting whether a person is lying on the floor according to a detection criterion that is function of the position of the measurement point in the coordinate system.

A method for operating at least one electromechanical actuator of a motor vehicle, wherein the actuator is designed to convert mechanical power into electrical power during operation of the motor vehicle in stochastic feed-in processes as a function of a feed-in efficiency predetermined by a feed-in operating point of the actuator, which electrical power is fed into an energy storage device of the motor vehicle, includes detecting the start of a feed-in process by a means of detection and, at the start of the feed-in process, setting a feed-in operating point of the actuator, wherein the feed-in efficiency is 50% or less.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ESTIMATING OUTPUT CURRENT OF A CHARGE PUMP
The present disclosure relates to current sensing, and more particularly, to systems and methods for estimating the output current of a charge pump. In one embodiment, a method for estimating an output current of a charge pump is disclosed. The method comprises measuring, using a first sensing circuit, an input current into a switched capacitor power conversion circuit, and calculating, using a hardware processor, an estimated output current from the switched capacitor power conversion circuit as:
I.sub.OUT=(I.sub.IN?N)?Offset
wherein I.sub.OUT is the estimated output current, I.sub.IN is the measured input current, N is a multiplication or division factor of the switched capacitor power conversion circuit, and Offset is an output current offset.
IoT Panel for Diagnostics and Monitoring of LAN Cable Conductors
A LAN cable conductor validation system includes controllable relays in-line with a portion of the twisted pair wires of the Ethernet cables. By temporarily open circuiting some of the Ethernet cable twisted pairs a drop in transmission speed can be detected for an active network component. This allows the active component's MAC address to be verified at a given physical location within the cable conductor network system.
