Supporting the commissioning of a networked power distribution system

The present invention provides a support system for supporting the commissioning of a networked power distribution system (1). The networked power distribution system comprises at least one power supply (2) with one or more power connectors (12, 12a) for supplying power to the one or more power connectors and a data communication interface for exchanging communication data. The support system (6) comprises one or more load device detectors (7) for detecting the connecting and/or disconnecting of a load device (3a) to/from a power connector (12a), and a commissioning tool (8) for performing steps of commissioning the networked power distribution system with regard to the load device. The commissioning tool is adapted to automatically perform at least some of the commissioning steps in response to the detection of the connecting and/or disconnecting of the load device. This can allow for a relatively easy commissioning of the networked power distribution system.

The present application provides a sensor, relates to sensing technology field, the sensor includes a sensor body, a main circuit module disposed in the sensor body and an sensing assembly electrically connect to the main circuit module, and further includes a circuit protection module disposed at outside of the sensor body and electrically connected to the main circuit module. In the present application, the main circuit module and the sensing assembly are used as the core components to achieve the functions of sensing and information conversion of the sensor; the circuit protection module is disposed outside the sensor body to realize the circuit protection function of the sensor. Electrical safety apparatus for mobile machinery. Apparatus broadly comprises at least one sensor module, which has i) an E-field sensor plate configured to sample an E-field voltage gradient by means of capacitive coupling with an E-field proximate the sensor module; ii) a sensor processor arranged in signal communication with the sensor plate and configured to a. apply frequency discrimination to the voltage gradient; b. if the frequency discrimination satisfies a predetermined frequency range, apply amplitude discrimination to the frequency discriminated signal; and c. if the amplitude discrimination satisfies a predetermined amplitude threshold, generate a limiting signal. Sensor module also includes iii) a transmitter arranged in signal communication with the sensor processor and configured to transmit the limiting signal, and iv) an energizing arrangement configured to provide electrical energy to the sensor processor and transmitter. Apparatus also includes a controller having i) a receiver for receiving the limiting signal; ii) a memory arrangement; and iii) a controller processor arranged in signal communication with the receiver and memory arrangement and configured to interface with, and control, an existing control system of the mobile machinery in accordance with the limiting signal to only allow movement of the machinery, which, when the limiting signal is generated, reduces the sampled E-field voltage below the predetermined amplitude threshold, the controller processor further configured to log details of the limiting signal and associated control in the memory arrangement for forensic purposes.

A shock detector having an electrical detector having a set of water immersible electrodes for detecting hazardous water conditions through the determination of the presence of either an electrical current in a body of water, a voltage in the body of water or a voltage gradient in the body of water and then providing an alert to the existence of hazardous electrical conditions in the body of water which in some cases may transmitted to a power source to shut off a power source thereby removing the hazardous water condition.
