Method and apparatus for monitoring a sensor and processing chain

An improved monitoring of a measurement chain with a sensor is achieved by using a broadband test signal. Thereby, the entire frequency range of a sensor can be covered with one test signal. There is no need to switch between different test signals and the available time for a diagnostic run can be used optimally. The broadband test signal allows better separation of the test signal and the useful signal. The integrity of an AC current measurement is increased by this approach. This can simplify the monitoring of a DC current sensor or even eliminate the need for an additional DC current sensor. In both cases, cost savings can be achieved.

Measurement apparatus and measurement method

Measurement apparatus and method for digital data acquisition. A first operation mode is provided for real-time processing of digital data having a reduced sample rate or resolution. Furthermore, a second operation mode is provided for processing the measurement signal off-line with a higher accuracy. In particular, the high accuracy data may be temporarily stored and analyzed upon the operation mode is changed from the real-time mode to the off-line mode.

Smart electronic switch

An electronic fuse circuit includes an electronic switch with a load current path coupled between an output node and a supply node and that connects or disconnects the output node and the supply node in accordance with a drive signal. The circuit includes a control circuit to generate the drive signal based on an input signal. A monitoring circuit is included in the control circuit to receive a current sense signal representing the load current passing through the load current path and to determine a first protection signal based on the current sense signal and a wire parameter. The first protection signal is indicative of whether to disconnect the output node from supply node. The control circuit changes from normal mode to idle mode when the load current is below a given current threshold and another criterion is fulfilled.

Capacitor bank control using wireless electrical measurement sensors away from capacitor bank

Systems, methods, and devices are provided to control an electrical component of an electric power distribution system with an intelligent electronic device using electrical measurements from a wireless electrical measurement device located away from the electrical component. One such system includes a capacitor bank on a lateral of an electric power distribution system, a first set of one or more wireless electrical measurement devices that obtain one or more electrical measurements of a first feeder of the electric power distribution system, and a capacitor bank controller. The capacitor bank controller may use the one or more electrical measurements of the first feeder to control the capacitor bank on the lateral.

Measurement circuit and measurement method for measuring and updating a voltage resolution of an electronic atomizer circuit

A measurement circuit and a measurement method for measuring and updating a voltage resolution of an electronic atomizer circuit are provided. In the measurement circuit, a comparison unit is configured to compare a first preset value and a second preset value to obtain a voltage difference, an accumulation and subtraction unit is configured to perform counting according to a comparison result, and a control unit is configured to adjust the voltage difference between two compared voltage input terminals, thereby calculating a voltage resolution of the control unit, avoiding the impact of the actual error of the first constant current source and the unit resistor on the actual voltage resolution, and ensuring the measurement accuracy. In addition, an accurate to-be-measured voltage is calculated, and a measurement value of the to-be-measured voltage is corrected, to ensure the high measurement accuracy of the to-be-measured voltage and the output power.
