POWER CONSUMPTION CALCULATION APPARATUS, POWER CONSUMPTION CALCULATION METHOD AND PROGRAM
By identifying, from a history of a total power consumption Wx measured at a facility including power supply equipment, air conditioning equipment, and communication equipment, a part of Wx in an ascending order; identifying, for each identified Wx, an air conditioning efficiency Ra corresponding to a temperature at a location of the facility in a first period in which the Wx is measured; calculating a power consumption Wc′ of the communication equipment in a second area excluding a first area in the facility by applying each identified Wx and each identified Ra to a relation Wc+Wa+(Wx×Rp)=Wx where the air conditioning efficiency Ra is a value calculated by dividing a power consumption Wc of the communication equipment by a power consumption Wa of the air conditioning equipment and the Rp is a loss factor of the Wx by the power supply equipment; and calculating a power consumption of the first area or the second area based on the Wx corresponding to a second period in the history, the Wc′, the Rp, and an air conditioning efficiency Ra′ corresponding to the second period, it becomes possible to determine the power consumption of a specific area in a facility.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING SAME BUILDING SOLAR PANEL PRODUCED VOLTAGE SPIKES ON A NEIGHBOR'S ELECTRIC UTILITY SERVICE
A system is disclosed which eliminates problems caused by surges of electric energy which is generated on a utility customer's property and which is fed back onto a utility-owned service line by maintaining a minimum utility provided percentage (MUPP) of power being provided onto a customer-owned dead-end service line. Where the electric energy generated by a utility customer is incrementally excluded from the customer-owned dead-end service line through a plurality of contactors which are controlled by a 120 volt command line.
Wireless broadband meter collar
A broadband access system, comprising a broadband access hub device (hub device) and broadband access premise devices (premise devices) wirelessly coupled the hub device to provide broadband services to multiple user equipment (UEs), is described. The hub device may access broadband services on a fiber optic broadband network and wirelessly provide access to the broadband services to the premise devices. The premise device may wirelessly communicate with the hub device and communicate with user equipment (UEs) for providing access to the broadband services through the hub device. The premise device may be attached to an electric utility meter, and a power interface module of the premise device may supply electrical power to the premise device from the electric utility meter.

Managing the determination of a transfer function of a measurement sensor
The present disclosure relates to generating a measurement sensor profiling summary in relation to a measurement sensor of an electrical measurement system, the measurement sensor being suitable for measuring an electrical property. The profiling summary is generated by obtaining a plurality of profiling results each comprising an estimate of a transfer function of a measurement sensor of the electrical measurement system and a corresponding certainty value indicative of the accuracy of the estimate of the transfer function, wherein the plurality of profiling results are based on estimates of the transfer function of the measurement sensor and corresponding certainty values that were determined by a monitor module of the electrical measurement system during a profiling period of time; and generating a profiling summary based on at least one of the plurality of profiling results.
WIRELESS MULTI-PORT METER PROGRAMMING AND TESTING DEVICE
A meter communication interface device includes a radio frequency (RF) communication unit, multiple different types of communication ports, and a controller. The RF communication unit receives, via RF signaling, at least one of first commands, instructions or data destined for a first meter encoder, meter, or meter interface unit (MIU). The controller selects a first communication port from the multiple different types of communication ports, and sends, via the selected first communication port using a first communication mechanism, the at least one of first commands, instructions or data to the first meter encoder, meter, or MIU.
INFORMATION PROVIDING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROVIDING METHOD, AND SYSTEM
The present invention provides an information providing apparatus including a determining unit configured to determine an added value to be provided to a user of a portable electric power supply device including a storage battery that stores electric power to be supplied to electrical equipment detachably connected, wherein in a case where a kind of the electrical equipment is a specified kind of electrical equipment, the determining unit determines the added value to be provided to the user in such a manner that the added value to be provided to the user is higher than an added value in a case where the kind of the electrical equipment is not the specified kind of electrical equipment.
EXTENSION CORD
An extension cord includes a plurality of electrical conductors. A plug is configured to electrically couple a first respective end of the plurality of electrical conductors with an electrical receptacle of a power source. An outlet assembly is coupled with a second respective end of the plurality of electrical conductors. The outlet assembly may include one or more outlet receptacles configured to provide electrical power from the power source. A power meter may be configured to measure an electrical draw through the outlet assembly and to provide a user perceptible output based upon the measured electrical draw. A carbon monoxide monitor may be configured to detect an environmental carbon monoxide level proximate the outlet assembly and to provide a user perceptible indication when the detected environment carbon monoxide level exceeds a threshold.
Managing the determination of a transfer function of a measurement sensor
The present disclosure relates to the control of an operation of a monitor module of an electrical measurement system, where the monitor module has a plurality of operating states, including a) monitor at least a first measurement sensor of the utility meter to determine a first monitor result comprising an estimate of a transfer function of the first measurement sensor and a corresponding certainty value indicative of the accuracy of the estimate of the transfer function of the first measurement sensor, wherein the first measurement sensor is for measuring a first electrical property, and b) do not monitor any measurement sensor of the electrical measurement system.
