A suspension connection arrangement for a suspension system for a safety helmet, the suspension system including at least one strap connected to at least one tab, which is attachable between a headband arrangement and at least one headband slot positioned on an internal surface of the safety helmet. The suspension connection arrangement includes: at least one projection member extending from the at least one tab; and at least one keyhole connected to at least one slot, both extending at least partially through a headband member, wherein the at least one keyhole is configured to at least partially receive the at least one projection member therethrough, such that the at least one projection member is configured to slide along the at least one slot, thereby removably attaching the at least one tab to the headband member. A suspension system and a safety helmet are also disclosed.
Holder For Connecting A Neck Strap To The Helmet Shell Of A Helmet
A holder includes a fastening section for fastening to a helmet shell and a coupling section for connecting to a neck strap. The coupling section has a first side, a second side, a first marginal section, a second marginal section, and one or more connection bridges that each permanently connect the first marginal section and the second marginal section to one another. At least one fixing bridge that can be moved from a position in which it does not connect the first and second marginal sections to one another into a fixing position in which it connects the first and second marginal sections to one another. A continuous center section of the neck strap can be arranged at the connection bridges and a part section of the center section can be brought through a free space where it can be engaged through by the at least one fixing.
ELASTIC TENSION CHANGING HEADBAND
Embodiments provide a retention apparatus for a head-mounted device and a head-mounted apparatus including the retention apparatus and the head-mounted device. The retention apparatus includes left and right band portions arranged on respective sides of a user's head, which connect to the head-mounted device at one end, and include opposing free ends that are arrangeable toward a back side of the wearer's head. The retention apparatus includes left and right elastic straps and an adjustment mechanism. The adjustment mechanism is arrangeable at the back of the user's head and includes arms the telescope into and out of the adjustment mechanism. The elastic straps are attached to the left and right band portions at first ends and to respective arms of the adjustment mechanism at second ends. Adjustably moving the arms of the adjustment mechanism stretches or relaxes the elastic straps, adjusting tension of the retention apparatus.
HELMET ASSEMBLY
A helmet assembly comprising a helmet shell, a fit system detachably coupled to the helmet shell, and a retention system coupled to the helmet shell independent of the fit system. The fit system is configured to stabilize the helmet shell on the wearer's head. The retention system is configured to retain the helmet shell on the wearer's head and to stabilize the helmet shell on the wearer's head when the fit system is removed from the helmet shell. The retention system may include a stabilizer configured to extend in a circumferential direction about a rear portion of the wearer's head to stabilize the helmet shell on the wearer's head. The stabilizer may couple segments of the retention system together so as to restrict separation of the segments from each other.
Helmet Retention System
A retention system for a helmet includes a horizontal chin strap and a vertical chin strap, wherein the vertical chin strap is secured to the horizontal chin strap at two points of intersection. The horizontal chin strap may include a first horizontal chin strap portion, a second horizontal chin strap portion, a first fastener for reversibly coupling the first chin strap and the second chin strap, and at least one mounting strap for affixing the mounting strap to a helmet. The vertical chin strap may include a second fastener for reversibly coupling a first end of the vertical chin strap to a body of the vertical chin strap, a loop through which the vertical chin strap passes through, and at least one forward strap for affixing the forward strap to a helmet.
Helmet retention system
The present application discloses a helmet, a retention system for a helmet, and a method of adjusting a helmet. In certain embodiments, the helmet comprises a helmet shell and a retention system attached to the helmet shell. The retention system generally comprises a rear portion connected to the rear of the helmet shell, at least one strap extending from the rear portion to a front portion of the helmet shell, and an adjustment device attached to the rear portion and configured to selectively adjust the length of the strap between the rear portion and the front portion of the helmet shell.
