A hardhat shell has a suspension that is secured to the shell by a hanger. The suspension has a horizontal band portion for extending around a user's head, and the suspension is positioned within a hardhat shell. At least one hanger is connected to the suspension for securing the suspension to the shell. Each hanger has a hook at a first end of the hanger, a latching surface located towards the middle of the hanger, and a lever arm at a second end of the hanger. At least one mount is formed on the inner surface of the shell. Each hanger is configured to securely engage a respective one of the mounts, with the latching surface of the respective hanger being in frictional engagement with the respective ledge surface of the mount. By manually pivoting the hanger, a user can cause the latching surface to disengage from the ledge surface.

The present disclosure is directed to a physiological and neurological monitoring apparatus that monitors and satisfies the need for an improved buffer between the skull of a user and the impacting object so as to minimize the likelihood of neck and cranial injury. Further the helmet comprises a facemask for prevent concussions by absorbing the energy from an impact and redirecting the energy across the structure of the helmet shell. The embodiment comprises a helmet shell with elongated cheek guards and an elongated rear neck guard which follows the contour of the user's shoulder line and continues sufficiently below the head of said user to cover the rear neck of the user. These additions help prevent concussions by providing a larger surface of protection to especially weak areas that are prone to injury such as the rear of the neck and the lower jaw line.

In accordance with the teachings of the present invention, an integrated fit and retention system is provided. In a particular embodiment of the present invention, the integrated fit and retention system includes a first rigid strap and a second rigid strap, each having a first end and a second end. The first end of each rigid strap is coupled to a helmet body proximate a front of the helmet body, and the second end of each rigid strap is coupled to the helmet body proximate a rear of the helmet body. The integrated fit and retention system also includes a chin strap operable to couple the first and second rigid straps beneath a chin of a wearer. In particular embodiments, the integrated fit and retention system may further include a fit strap coupling the first and second rigid straps, that may be configured to sit below an occipital lobe of the wearer.

Lacrosse helmet

A lacrosse helmet comprises rigid single-piece shell formed of a suitable material such as polycarbonate or ABS plastic and adapted to receive and protect the head of a wearer. The shell has acclivities integrally formed therein to define features in the shell. Two alternative padding assemblies are disclosed. In a first alternative, the padding assemblies include a front liner installed in the brow area of the shell, a lateral liner extending around the back inner surface of the shell and backed by an inflatable occipital pad, a crown shock absorber, and jaw pads. In a second alternative, the padding assemblies include an inner shell or bonnet comprising a left section, right section, and rear section, which are assembled together with a crown comfort layer and a rear comfort layer, and inserted into the shell. This alternative also includes jaw pads as in the first alternative.

A cushion pad for head bands, installed at the rear part of a head band worn on a worker's head so as to support the back of the worker's head while adjusting the length of the head band. The cushion pad includes a pad unit having a concave spherical-shaped surface closely adhered to the back of the worker's head and provided with a first prop and second props to support the upper central region and both lower side regions of the back of the worker's head, and an adjustment unit formed at the rear of the center of the pad unit and provided with through holes formed at both sides thereof to receive both rear ends of the head band and a rotary lever between the through holes to pressurize and fix the head band, thus allowing a worker to more conveniently and stably wear a welding mask.

PROTECTIVE HEADWEAR WITH AIRFLOW

In one aspect, a protective headwear is provided and includes a headgear, an outer shell, a duct and a manifold. The headgear is configured to engage a wearer's head and at least partially support the protective headwear on a wearer's head. The headgear includes a front, a rear opposite the front, a right side, and a left side opposite the right side. The outer shell is coupled to the headgear at a coupling location and includes a shield positioned to the front of the headgear. The duct is at least partially coupled to and at least partially positioned in an interior of the outer shell. The duct is located below the coupling location. The manifold is positioned to the rear of the headgear and configured to divert airflow into at least a first portion of airflow and a second portion of airflow
