HAIR RETAINER FOR A HELMET
Disclosed herein is a hair retainer for a helmet. The hair retainer comprises a helmet mounting portion configured for mounting the hair retainer to a back edge or an underside of the helmet and a hair retaining portion locatable at an underside of the helmet in a hair retaining configuration for retaining hair thereat whilst a user is wearing the helmet.
PLIABLE PROTECTIVE DRAPERIES FOR SAFETY HELMETS
Pliable draping apparatus or systems for use with a safety helmet for protecting a user's face, neck and/or ears. The pliable draping material includes a helmet engaging portion and a protection portion coupled to the helmet engaging portion. The protection portion protects at least one of a user's mouth, neck, and ears. The protection apparatus also includes a helmet engaging portion with features allowing easy removing coupling to preexisting clips on various types of safety helmets. In one illustrative embodiment, the helmet engaging portion may be formed as a band of elastic material having reinforced slits for connection to attachment clips on different safety helmets. In some embodiments, the pliable draping system may include a removable and adjustable face mask portion for protection of a user's face. The system may include a sleeve allowing the face mask portion to be stored when not in use.
HELMET MANUFACTURING METHOD AND STRUCTURE OF HELMET
A helmet manufacturing method involves: producing a shell and a protector, the shell having two opposing cheek-protecting portions, the protector having a jaw-protecting portion and a neck-protecting portion connected to the jaw-protecting portion; putting the shell and the protector in a die such that bottom edges of the cheek-protecting portions of the shell connect to a top edge of the neck-protecting portion of the protector; introducing a foam material into the die, apply heat and pressure to the foam material such that the foam material expands and binds to an inner side of the shell and an inner side of the protector; and taking a helmet finished product out of the die. Therefore, both the jaw-protecting portion of the integrally-formed protector and the helmet finished product are reinforced.
Shock Reducing Helmet
A shock reducing helmet includes a helmet body made of an outer and inner shell, ear openings, and face shield or visor that connects flush to the helmet body.
The outer shell is formed from the strongest and lightest weight materials, such as polycarbonate, or other plastics, Kevlar, carbon fiber, or metal, to provide a high strength to weight ratio and minimize fracture.
The inner chamber includes shock absorbing structures made from materials such as a nickel-titanium shape-memory alloy, polycarbonate, other plastics, Kevlar, carbon fiber, or metal. Some variants have a viscous or gaseous layer around the springs to increase stability upon linear and rotational impact.
The face shield or visor is made of a clear polycarbonate that connects flush with the outer shell to eliminate visibility interference and rotational injuries caused by competitors pulling the metal bars commonly present in football helmets.
LENGTH ADJUSTABLE SHROUD USABLE WITH HELMET AND EARMUFFS
Embodiments relate generally to methods and systems for adjustably and removably attaching a shroud to a helmet. A shroud for use with a helmet may comprise a top shroud configured to attach to the helmet; an inner shroud configured to attach to the top shroud, wherein the inner shroud comprises a band configured to tighten around a user's neck; and an outer shroud configured to removably attach to the top shroud, wherein the outer shroud is configured to cover a user's shoulders. The shroud may also comprise one or more removable attachments, wherein the top shroud attaches to the helmet via the one or more removable attachments.
Welding helmet with removable neck guard
A welding helmet includes a helmet shell contoured to substantially cover a user's face, and a neck guard removably attachable to a bottom portion of the helmet shell. The neck guard has a predetermined contour, aligning with a portion of the helmet shell contour, and is configured to cover at least a portion of a user's neck when the welding helmet is fitted to the head of the user. The neck guard is removably attachable to the helmet shell by a mechanical fastening arrangement, which can include a plurality of fasteners.
Twisted Loops Surface Hard Hat Liner
A hard hat liner defined by a plurality of twisted loops on the interior and exterior surface thereof, adapted to be worn on the head of the wearer under a hard hat, structured from a symmetric panel of dual sided twisted loops pile fabric, pleated at the fore head so as to conform to the head of the wearer, extending horizontally across the fore head and curving downward at approximately 90% relative to the headband horizontal position, over the ear, extending to the shoulder, and continuing to cover the head and back neck of the wearer, ear to ear, having an elongated head band housing elastic portions and buckles for head size adjustability, with a bias tape hem to secure the edge of said symmetric panel not attached to said headband.
FENCING MASK AND REINFORCED MASK ACCESSORY THEREOF
A fencing mask and a reinforced mask accessory thereof are provided. The fencing mask includes a front mesh, a lateral mesh and a front bib. The fencing mask in an embodiment further includes a rear mesh fastened at a rear end of the lateral mesh. The reinforced mask accessory in another embodiment includes a rear plate fastened with the lateral mesh and/or the front bib, thereby protecting the occipital and rear neck portions of the user. The reinforced mask accessory in another embodiment further includes a front plate fastened at the front mesh to protect the forehead portion of the user.
Helmet liner
A helmet liner adapted to be conformed to an inner surface of a helmet to cushion in use the rear of a wearers head from the helmet is described. The liner comprises a plurality of elongate grooves comprising at least one longitudinal groove configured to extend in use along a longitudinal direction between the nape of a wearers neck and the crown of the wearers head, and at least one lateral groove adapted to extend in use at least partially around the head of the wearer in a lateral direction between the wearers ears. The at least one longitudinal groove is deeper than the at least one lateral groove.
Detachable Air Cooling Device for Headgear
A detachable air cooling device for headgear that provides a cooling effect to wearer. The cooling device includes a fan assembly, a U-shaped compression clip, and a rechargeable battery. The fan assembly includes a motorized fan and a cover housing. In particular, the fan assembly is positioned adjacent to a second leg of the U-shaped compression clip, opposite a first leg of the U-shaped compression clip. The cover housing holds the motorized fan and is adjacently mounted along the second leg. The motorized fan is mounted within the cover housing. An air intake of the fan assembly traverses into the cover housing, opposite the first leg. An air outlet of the fan assembly laterally traverses out of the cover housing to blow air directly onto the wearer's face. The rechargeable battery is mounted to the U-shaped compression clip and is electrically connected to the motorized fan.
