Head Unit System With Connector For Peripheral Device
A head unit system for a head of a user, including a headpiece including a support structure shaped to be worn over the head. A shield mount attached to the support structure is arranged for supporting a face shield adjacent to the head. A headpiece connector is attached to the support structure and has a headpiece contact configured for electrical connection. A peripheral device provided for being secured to the headpiece for concurrent movement, the peripheral device having a device connector with a device contact configured for electrical connection. The device connector and the headpiece connector cooperate to releasably attach the peripheral device to the headpiece in a secured configuration with the respective headpiece contact and the device contact abutting in the secured configuration so as to facilitate electrical connection between the headpiece and the peripheral device.
Protective helmet with a retractable and removable visor
A protective helmet adapted to receive and protect a head of a wearer comprises: an outer shell shaped to protect the head of the wearer, with the outer shell defining a bottom opening and an internal cavity for receiving the head of the wearer; a headband and a suspension positioned within the internal cavity of the outer shell; and a visor rotatable between a retracted position within the outer shell to an extended position in front of a face of the wearer, wherein the visor simultaneously rotates about a first pivot axis and a second pivot axis as it moves between the retracted position and the extended position. The visor can also be readily removed from the protective helmet and easily replaced should it become damaged.

Protective helmet
A protective helmet, including an outer shell including at least one aperture, an inner shell slidingly connected to the outer shell, and at least one expandable bladder positioned between the outer shell and the inner shell, wherein, when a force strikes the helmet, the at least one expandable bladder is operatively arranged to displace radially outward in the at least one aperture and protrude beyond an outer surface of the outer shell.

Helmet strap attachment method and device
An anchoring system for securing a strap to an in-molded helmet can include a strap anchor that includes an anchor housing and an in-molding flange coupled to the anchor housing. The anchoring system can include a bar tack clip sized to fit partially within the anchor housing, the bar tack clip including a cross beam, an opening adjacent the cross beam, and at least one clip coupled to the cross beam and sized to mateably couple with the anchor housing. The anchoring system can also include a strap disposed through the opening in the bar tack clip and looped around the cross beam, the strap being coupled to itself with a bar tack. The at least one clip of the bar tack clip can be disposed at an in-bound side of the bar tack clip or can include two side clips.

Sport helmet
The helmet uses a new fastener to fasten a cage to the helmet shell allowing sides of the cage to be mounted directly against the shell, reducing the width of the shell on each side. A ball is attached to a portion of a bar of the cage to act as a limit stop precluding movements of the cage with respect to the helmet. A chin bar is fastened to the helmet at two points on each side of the shell. The shell is molded with recessed portions designed to receive the two branches of the chin bar on each side where they will be fastened to the shell so that the outer surfaces of the chin guard are flush with the shell at the locations of attachment to provide a smooth transition and reduce weight. An adjustment device to adjust the fit of the helmet to the user includes a star wheel on each side of the helmet attached to an arcuate flexible strip extending rearwardly around the occipital area of the skull. A sliding mechanism attached to the strip allows the strip to be moved forward and backward to allow it to be tightened or loosened, respectively, with respect to the player's head. A ratcheting lateral adjustment device is also disclosed.
