Electrical connection for suspension band attachment slot of a hard hat
A suspension band assembly to be used to support a hard hat on a head of a user. The suspension band assembly includes a primary support loop to receive the head of the user therein. An electronic peripheral is fixedly secured to the primary support loop. An attachment strap extends out from the primary support loop to a strap distal end. An anchor is fixedly secured to the strap distal end for securing the attachment strap to the hard hat. An electrical anchor contact is fixedly secured to the anchor to provide an electrical connection between the hard hat and the electronic peripheral located on the primary support loop.
Non-newtonian materials for the prevention of mild traumatic brain injury
An improved design for an athletic helmet incorporating non-Newtonian fluid shock absorbing structures.
HELMET WITH IMPACT ABSORBING CONNECTOR
Embodiments are directed to a helmet. The helmet preferably includes a shell, a suspension, and a connector. The suspension preferably includes a crown strap. The connector preferably couples to the shell and the crown strap. The connector preferably has a shock absorber operatively disposed between the shell and the crown strap to absorb at least a portion of a force of impact delivered to the shell.

HELMET STABILIZATION APPARATUS
A helmet stabilization system and apparatus for reducing the incidence of whiplash and neck injuries while wearing a helmet, such as in contact sports. The invention includes a helmet mount; a base mount configured for attachment to a shoulder harness; and a flex rod interconnectable between the helmet mount and the base mount. The flex rod, when interconnected between the helmet mount and the base mount provides a resistance to an extension or a compression sequence responsive to a contact imparted on the helmet. An oobleck may be provided in a coupling between the flex rod and the base mount to permit voluntary head movements of the user and to provide a resistance responsive to an impact force.
Head positioning aids for premature infants
A head positioning aid includes at least one head positioning assistor and at least one securing member. Some head positioning aids include positioning members secured to a headwear member. The positioning members maintain an infant's head in midline. An optional cheek flap protects the skin on the face. An optional support member supports the neck and an open airway. Size adjustment members may also be used to secure and orient tubing for a nasal cannula.
CYCLING HELMET
A cycling helmet includes an outer shell and a closed cell foam layer adjacent to the outer shell. The cycling helmet also includes an inner liner adjacent to the closed cell foam layer. The cycling helmet further includes an insert of energy absorbing material adjacent to the inner liner. The insert is configured to move in multiple directions in response to an impact to the cycling helmet.

BICYCLE WITH COMPLIANT SEAT POST INTERFACE
A bicycle comprises front and rear wheels, a frame, a seat post, and a damping member. An upper portion of the seat post is movable relative to the frame between a first position and a second position. The damping member couples the seat post to the frame to dampen movement of the upper portion of the seat post. The damping member can be positioned at least partially in a top tube of the frame. Preferably, the seat post flexes when the upper portion of the seat post moves. The frame further includes a securing location for securing the seat post, and the securing location is a distance from the upper end of the seat tube that is at least 30% of a length of a seat tube. The seat post has a front-to-rear width, and the seat tube has a rear wall spaced from the seat post by a gap that is at least 25% of a front-to-rear width of the seat post.
Integrated wireless head protection garment and harness
Disclosed is an integrated wireless head protection garment and harness, to a head protection garment and harness with an integrated wireless communication device including a head garment for wearing by a wearer, a harness attached to the head garment, and a wireless communication device attached to the harness. The wireless communication device includes a casing that houses a micro-processing unit and a wireless module along with a depressible button. Depression of the depressible button by the wearer initiates communication of sensor data including at least an event signal to another device by means of the micro-processing unit and the wireless module over a wireless communication network. The micro-processing unit and the wireless module facilitate 2-way communication with the wearer of the wireless communication device.
