A method measures an angle of arrival (AOA) of an incoming signal using m separate antennas coupled via a switch with a single receiving device. The switch sequentially supplies the incoming signal to the receiver. A sampling of the incoming signal as received at the antennas has a sampling rate and cycle time performed in repetitive cycles. The receiver generates baseband signals with in-phase and quadrature components from the incoming signal and forwarding to each analog-to-digital converter to provide digitized samples. A signal processor is coupled to the respective analog-to-digital converter to analyze the digitized signals and to determine the angle of arrival of the incoming signal. The resulting phase error is compensated by sampling and signal processing. A device operates according to the method and an arrangement with a mobile transmitter and a device and software for locating the mobile transmitter by the device.

The first cell can include a serving cell and the second cell can include a neighboring cell of the serving cell. The system, method, and apparatus can receive the first test signal using a main lobe of an antenna and the second test signal using a side lobe of the antenna.

Method and system for mobility measurements in new radio (NR) based mobile communication network

A method for performing mobility-measurements in new radio (NR) based 3GPP mobile communication network is provided. The method includes receiving network information with respect to a geographical area from one or more user equipments (UEs) operating in geographical area for a predefined duration of time. The received network information is classified at various time-instants during the predefined duration of time as at least one of an NR spectrum availability and NR spectrum non-availability. An overall probability of availability of the NR spectrum within the area is calculated for a time-instant subsequent to the predefined duration of time based on the classified network information. The UE is enabled for scheduling NR measurements within the area based on the calculated probability.

By using different distribution models, the local sensor network can provide protection for various targets like Very Important Personnel (VIP) vehicles, lands, facilities, and cities.
