System and Method for Protective Eyewear
A flip-to-wear eye shield system is provided. By integrating a hinge into elements of the frame and/or the lens, the eye shield can be manufactured and assembled more quickly and with less costs. In an embodiment, a lens may click (or snap) onto molded posts of a frame in a substantially flat position. An integrated living hinge in the frame may bend to allow the lens to flip downwards toward the frame to a second position for use. The posts may also click (or snap) into place in an underside of the frames. In another embodiment, a lens may click (or snap) onto molded posts of a flame in a substantially flat position. An integrated living hinge, formed by notches in the lens, may allow the lens to bend to flip downwards to the frame to a second position for use. A dispenser allows storing the eye shields in the flat position and dispensing in the second position for use.
TEAROFF TAB TENSIONER
A tearoff film lens cover system includes a goggle lens or visor and a pin arranged to receive respective tabs of a plurality of tearoff films positioned on the goggle lens or visor, the pin having a head and a shaft that is narrower than the head. The pin may be disposed on an outrigger of a goggle frame, on a strap clip removably clipped to a goggle strap, or on a racing helmet visor, for example. A resilient body is disposed adjacent the shaft of the pin so as to compress as the tabs of the tearoff films are received by the pin, the resilient body biasing the received tearoff films toward the head of the pin.
HELMET AND GOGGLES FOR USE THEREWITH AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
A helmet having a movable and openable jaw shield is disclosed. The movable jaw shield is pivotable about a hinge located on the front of the helmet chin bar. The movable jaw shield in open configuration clears the space in front of the user's mouth to facilitate communications from the user. Preferably, the movable jaw shield may also be detached from the pivot to be removed or interchanged. The movable jaw shield is suited with a breath guard configured to mate with a protrusion on the lower front portion of goggles frames. The mating of the goggles and breath guard preferably substantially prevent environmental foreign materials from entering between the breath guard and goggles.
HEADWEAR WITH STORABLE ACCESSORY
Headwear includes a storage region formed in a headwear portion with the storage region having an opening. An accessory is configured to cover a portion of a wearer's face and includes first and second opposing ends. The first end of the accessory is manually removable from the storage region through the opening. A retainer is attached to the second end of the accessory for limiting movement of the accessory within the storage region. The retainer locks the second end of the accessory within the storage region.
Form-Fitting Protective Headgear with Integrated Fastening System and Detachable Eye Shield
Provided is a protective headgear that includes a first shell section, second shell section, third shell section, and fourth shell section. The first shell section is configured to extend about a head of the user, and include a first central portion, a first strap and a second strap that extend from the first shell section. The first central portion includes a first protective layer and a second protective layer disposed atop the first protective layer. The second shell section is configured to extend about a jaw of the user, and include a second central portion, a third strap and a fourth strap that extend from the second shell section. The third shell section is connected to the first shell section by the first strap and the third strap, and the fourth shell section is connected to the second shell section by the second strap and the fourth strap.
Safety hat assembly
A safety hat assembly for enhancing safety and comfort of a user includes a hat that is selectively sizable to a head of a user and which has a brim coupled thereto. The hat is positionable on the head of the user with the brim extending over a forehead of the user. A pair of safety glasses is slidably engaged to the hat and is selectively positionable in a stowed configuration within the hat and a deployed configuration to protect eyes of the user. An earplug is engaged to and selectively extendible from the hat to allow insertion into a respective ear canal of the user to protect hearing of the user. A set of pads is engaged to and positioned within the hat to cushion the head of the user.
Brim Shade and Hinge
A brim shade has a shade element, a clip, and a hinge that joins the shade element and the clip to make the brim shade. The shade element and the hinge combine to create a shade that does not allow the light to get past the brim shade. The brim shade can be adjusted through 360 degree rotation and along the side of a hat to provide protection to the wearer.
Helmet mounted visor
A visor system for a helmet includes a lens sized to extend across at least a portion of a user's face, a frame secured along a top portion of the lens and configured to receive and abut against a front surface of the helmet, a first fastener coupled to a first end of the frame by a first flexible attachment, and a second fastener coupled to a second end of the frame by a second flexible attachment. The visor system may further include a first anchor releasably securable to the first fastener, the first anchor being mountable onto a first portion of the helmet, and a second anchor releasably securable to the second fastener, the second anchor being mountable onto a second portion of the helmet.
EYE PROTECTION, EYE PROTECTION DEVICE FOR A HEADGEAR AND HEADGEAR COMPRISING AN EYE PROTECTION DEVICE
An eye protection device including: a viewing material; and a frame connected to the viewing material. Wherein the frame includes at least one contact body projecting from the frame, the at least one contact body having at least one contact surface, the at least one contact surface being configured to project from the frame at an angle of 30° to 150° relative to a surface of the viewing material, wherein the at least one contact body comprises at least one frame magnet integrated into the at least one contact body and configured to magnetically couple with a headgear.
Selectively Operable Eyewear
Apparatus and associated methods relate to an eyewear assembly for attaching to a brim of a headwear. In an illustrative example, the eyewear assembly may include a lens module that include at least one optical lens element and at least two coupling modules rotatably coupled to a distal end and a proximal end of the lens module. The lens module, for example, may be rotated, relative to the coupling modules, about a first axis. For example, each coupling module may include an engagement module configured to releasably engage the brim of the headwear and to independently rotate relative to the lens module. Various embodiments may advantageously be adjustably fitted to attach on various types of headwear with brims of different curvatures and shapes.
