Eye protection orientation system
A head and facial protection system comprising a helmet and an attachable eye protection, said helmet comprising an inner and outer surface, a core between the inner and outer surfaces, a first and a second forehead mount, and a left and right post; wherein the eye protection secures to the first and second forehead mounts and the left and right posts to enable adjustment of the attachable eye protection.
Helmet with accessory attachment rail
A protective helmet has an outer shell configured for surrounding a head of a user and at least one accessory attachment rail connected to the outer shell. The accessory attachment rail has a body having a front end, a rear end, and one or more slots between the front end and the rear end. Each of the one or more slots is configured for removably receiving at least one helmet accessory. A locking mechanism is associated with each of the one or more slots for automatically locking the at least one helmet accessory in the one or more slots upon insertion of the at least one helmet accessory within the one or more slots and for preventing removal of the at least one helmet accessory from the one or more slots. At least one connection element is provided for connecting the accessory attachment rail to the outer shell.
EYE PROTECTION ORIENTATION SYSTEM
An attachment system allowing for holding eyewear in three dimensions, using at least one strap positioned for securing said eyewear in the vertical or y-axis, while left-to-right orientation in the x-axis and front-to-back orientation in the z-axis are defined by two straps, one at each temple arm.
HEADWEAR WITH STORABLE ACCESSORY
Headwear includes a storage region formed in a headwear portion with the storage region having an opening. An accessory is configured to cover a portion of a wearer's face and includes first and second opposing ends. The first end of the accessory is manually removable from the storage region through the opening. A retainer is attached to the second end of the accessory for limiting movement of the accessory within the storage region. The retainer locks the second end of the accessory within the storage region.
Alert and response helmet system
An alert and response helmet system for temporarily disabling in a non-lethal manner in order to take a wanted individual into custody without placing the life of an officer in danger, the alert and response helmet system including; a pair of glasses to be worn by the officer; the glasses including a camera which photographs an individual and obtains facial and or an iris scan of the individual. The glasses further including an earphone and a communication device which communicates with the officer. A processor processes the camera image and a database provides information relating to whether the processed images correspond to a wanted individual. A helmet worn by the officer includes a non-lethal but temporarily disabling device which causes a wanted individual to be temporarily disabled to give the officer time to draw their weapon before the wanted individual can draw a weapon.
STRAP ADJUSTMENTS VIA SENSORS
Example implementations relate to a display and strap with sensors. In some examples, an apparatus may comprise a strap, a pressure sensor coupled to the strap, and a display coupled to the strap. In some examples, the apparatus may include a tensioner mechanism coupled to the strap and a motor coupled to the tensioner mechanism, The motor may actuate the tensioner mechanism to adjust the strap to a particular amount of tension, and the particular amount of tension may be based on an amount of pressure detected by the pressure sensor.
Goggle Retention Apparatus
A goggle retaining apparatus to secure a pair of goggles having a goggle strap to a helmet. The apparatus having a first and second retaining component affixed to the sides of the helmet at a position substantially in line with the goggle strap when the pair of goggles is placed over the eyes of a wearer. The retaining components have a base member being secured to the side of the helmet and a retaining member secured to the base member. The retaining member is configured to receive the goggle strap when the pair of goggles is placed over the eyes of the wearer. The retaining component is configured to engage the goggle strap when the pair of goggles is moved upward from the eyes of the wearer such that the rear portion of the goggle strap located to the rear of the retaining component remains at a position substantially in line with the position of the goggle strap when the pair of goggles is placed over the eyes of a wearer. A stopping member is affixed to the crown of the helmet at approximately an equal distance between the retaining components and proximate to the front of the helmet. The stopping member has an elongated body extending away from the helmet such that the pair of goggles is engaged against the elongated body when the pair of goggles is moved upward from the eyes of the wearer.
Smart safety helmet with heads-up display
A safety system is configured to be worn by a user. The safety system includes a helmet, a transparent display screen coupled to the helmet and configured to provide eye safety for the user, the transparent display screen configured to display graphical information to the user in substantially real time. According to one embodiment, if a hazard is identified in a first route, the apparatus communicates an identification of the hazard for display to the user via the transparent display screen. Further, if the hazard is identified in the first route, the apparatus communicates an identification of a second route for display to the user via the transparent display screen, the second route avoiding the hazard with each of the first route and the second route rendered in the transparent display screen. According to various embodiments, the apparatus operates in substantially real time to evaluate conditions in the first route based on information provided by the at least one sensing system to determine whether the hazard exists.
MULTI-BODY HELMET CONSTRUCTION WITH SHIELD MOUNTING
A helmet can comprise an upper-body and a lower-body nested within the upper-body. An opening can be formed within a front portion of the helmet and disposed between an outer surface of the upper-body and an inner surface of the lower-body. A first magnet can be encased within the upper-body or the lower-body and adjacent the opening. A shield can comprise a shield mount and a second magnet coupled to the shield mount that is sized to fit within the opening and to be releasably coupled to the first magnet. The first magnet and the second magnet can be self-aligned in direct alignment with eyes of a user. A third magnet can be disposed above the first magnet and aligned with the second magnet on an outer surface of the helmet out of sight from eyes of the user.
MAGNETIC GOGGLE ATTACHMENT
A magnetic mechanical latching attachment for connecting goggles to a helmet includes a goggle attachment portion configured to mechanically and magnetically attach to a helmet attachment portion. The goggle attachment portion and helmet attachment portion include complimentary interlocking features that mechanically lock the portions together when attached and magnetic features that assist engagement of the complimentary interlocking features in a locked position. A related method of coupling goggles to a helmet, as well as a helmet-goggle attachment system, is provided.
