DEVICE POSITIONING
20230184879 · 2023-06-15 ·

An apparatus, method and computer program is described. The method can include receiving a first measurement report from a first communication node of a mobile communication system. The first measurement report can include downlink measurement data generated at a user device in response to a positioning reference signal sent by the first communication node. The method can further include receiving a second measurement report from the first communication node. The second measurement report can include uplink measurement data generated at the first communication node in response to an uplink reference signal sent by the user device. The method can also include determining an integrity of the measurement data based on a comparison of said uplink and downlink measurement data and setting an integrity verification notification in accordance with the determined integrity.

Nodes and methods for positioning

A method in an LCS server of a wireless communication system is provided for positioning of an LCS target. Information is obtained relating to a first predefined geographical area, where it has been determined that a probability that the LCS target is located within the first predefined geographical area is below a threshold. A request is received for a positioning of the LCS target and the obtained information relating to the first predefined geographical area is used for the positioning of the LCS target.

Distributed method and system for determining the position of a mobile device using long-range signals and calibrating the position using short-range signals
09832602 · 2017-11-28 · ·

A method and system is described where a plurality of position reference devices use short-range wireless communication protocols to transmit positioning assistance data to nearby mobile devices, and the mobile devices use the assistance data to model errors and re-calibrate their positioning systems. The short-range communication methods include NFC, RFID, Bluetooth®, short-range 802.11, Wi-Fi Direct, and high frequency focused beams such as 60 GHz. The position reference devices are passive or active NFC tags, passive or active RFID tags, other devices that include such tags as their components, Bluetooth®-enabled devices, 60 GHz-enabled devices, and 802.11 access points that can lower their transmit power. The reference devices are located at various indoor and outdoor locations such as smart posters, kiosks, ATM machines, malls, store checkout counters, store security gates, wireless access points, cellular base-stations, tollbooths, traffic lights, and street lamp posts.

LOCATION PREDICTION METHOD AND APPARATUS, NODE AND STORAGE MEDIUM
20230179309 · 2023-06-08 ·

Provided are a location prediction method and apparatus, a node and a storage medium. The method includes: a server obtaining a measurement report message sent by a base station, where the measurement report message includes historical location measurement information reported by at least one UE and/or historical location measurement information of the at least one UE measured by the base station; and the server determining prediction location information of the at least one UE at a first time point or in a first time period according to the measurement report message, and sending notification information to the base station according to the prediction location information. By introducing measurement information in multiple dimensions, the accuracy of predicting the location of UE can be effectively improved.

NETWORK ASSISTANCE POSITIONING INTEGRITY REPORTING

Systems and methods for generating and configuring integrity parameters associated with positioning measurements and calculations are provided herein. Integrity KPIs can be defined by a network node for positioning assistance information and location information reporting, and can be provided to a wireless device to assist in assessing the integrity level associated with a positioning estimation.

METHOD FOR OPERATING RSU RELATED TO VRU LOCATION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

An embodiment relates to a method for performing operations related to a vulnerable road user (VRU) by a road side unit (RSU) in a wireless communication system, the operations comprising: receiving, by the RSU, personal safety messages (PSMs) of a VRU; determining, by the RSU, location information of the VRU on the basis of first location information of the VRU obtained through image information and second location information of the VRU obtained through the PSMs; and transmitting, by the RSU, the location information of the VRU to the VRU.

GROUP REPORTING OF USER EQUIPMENT MEASUREMENTS IN MULTI-ROUND TRIP TIME POSITIONING

Disclosed are techniques for group reporting of UE receive-transmit (Rx-Tx) time difference measurements for multi-RTT positioning. A plurality of downlink reference signals (DL RSs) are received from a plurality of transmission reception points (TRPs). A corresponding plurality of uplink reference signals (UL RSs) are transmitted to the plurality of TRPs. One or more numerology factors are determined for the plurality of TRPs. A measurement report is generated for the plurality of TRPs based on the numerology factors. The measurement report is transmitted to a network entity. The measurement report includes UE receive-transmit (Rx-Tx) time difference measurements for at least two of the TRPs.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MEASURING POSITION

A system and method for measuring a location are provided. The system for measuring a location comprises a receiving device comprising a directional antennam the receiving device being configured to receive a signal from a mobile device in a path at a signal sensing direction side of the directional antenna, and a server configured to receive from the receiving device, information on the signal, determine a location of the mobile device based on the information on the signal, and determine a degree of congestion of the path using the location.
