The present disclosure relates to an acoustic position determination system that includes a mobile communication device and at least one base transmitter unit. The mobile communication device is configured to transmit and receive acoustic signals. Due to relative movements between the mobile communication device and the base transmitter unit, frequencies of the received signals shift due to Doppler effect. The mobile communication device is configured to compensate Doppler frequency shifts in the received acoustic signals prior to performing a deconvolution decoding process. The mobile communication device is further configured to compensate Doppler frequency shifts and perform deconvolution decoding process on acoustic signals received from multiple signal transmission paths.

System and method for image position determination using one or more anchors
A system and a method of position and orientation determination use an image capturing device and position and orientation sensors in user equipment such as a head mounted device “HMD”. The method may comprise receiving position measurements from the position sensor and receiving a selection of one or more anchors based on said position measurements including the position of each anchor. The position and orientation measurements may be used to determine whether any selected anchor is visible to said image capturing device based on said position and orientation measurements. Then the image capturing device may be activated to capture an image including said one or more anchors when a selected anchor is visible. The image may be analyzed to determine the position and orientation of the image capturing device relative to the one or more anchors.
Rideshare verification
Illustrative methods and systems may determine whether a rideshare is verified based on received rideshare data. A verification code may be assigned to a rideshare trip. The verification code may be provided to a rider of the rideshare trip. The verification code may be received by a vehicle device assigned to the rideshare trip via user input or communication from the rider device. Whether the rider has entered the correct vehicle for the rideshare trip may be verified based on the verification code assigned to the rideshare trip and the verification code received by the rideshare vehicle.

Systems and methods of the present disclosure relate to non-intrusive tracking of objects in a conduit from a single location. A system comprises a component positioned to control flow into or out of the conduit to induce pressure waves in the conduit; a pressure transducer in fluid communication with the conduit, the pressure transducer positioned to measure pressure responses in the conduit due to contact of the pressure waves with the object; and a system controller operable to: receive pressure data from the pressure transducer, wherein the pressure data includes the pressure responses to the pressure waves; and determine a distance of the object in the conduit, relative to the component or the pressure transducer, based on the pressure responses.
