INDICATING HAZARDOUS EXPOSURE IN A SUPPLIED AIR RESPIRATOR SYSTEM
An exposure-indicating supplied air respirator system comprises a head top, a clean air supply source and a portable personal communication hub. The head top comprises a visor that is sized to fit over at least a user's nose and mouth, a position sensor secured to the head top, and a head top communication module. The clean air supply source is connected to the head top that supplies clean air to the interior of the head top. The position sensor detects whether the visor is in a closed position or in an open position and the head top communication module communicates the visor position to the personal communication hub. If the personal communication hub receives a signal indicating the presence of a hazard, and if the visor is in an open position, an alert is generated.
STRUCTURE FOR FIXING RIDING RECORDER WITH HELMET VISOR FASTENER
Disclosed is a structure for fixing a riding recorder with helmet visor fasteners, including a visor, which is provided, in the inside thereof, with a plurality of first coupling members so as to be attached to a helmet with the first coupling members. A monitoring unit is mounted to a bottom of the visor and the monitoring unit includes at least one camera lens and a storage element such that when the monitoring unit is activated, the camera lens is operable to take images and stores the data of the images in the storage element.
Lens seal for headgear
An article of headgear that has a head-covering article, a lens moveably attached to the head-covering article, and a seal attached to the lens, the seal comprising a first polymeric material and a second polymeric material, the first polymeric material having a greater tensile modulus than the second material. In an exemplary embodiment, the lens is moveable from a first, lowered position to a second, raised position, and when in the first, lowered position, the seal sealingly engages the head-covering article. In some embodiments, the tensile modulus of the first polymeric material is at least about 5× greater or even about 10× greater than the tensile modulus of the second material.
Ballistic and impact protective system for military helmet assembly
A helmet attachment system is usable to attach a mandible or face or mouth guard. The helmet attachment system also comprises a pair of attachment bases, each arranged on a side of the helmet near to an ear covering of the helmet. The attachment bases each include a metal base plate covered by an attached body block. Each attachment base provides provisions for attaching opposite ends of a mandible to the bases. The metal base plate includes hooks for engaging an edge of the helmet. A pair of strap assemblies is provided, each strap assembly connected to one attachment base. The strap assemblies extend rearward and are connected to the back rail by a buckle member on the end of each strap assembly. The back rail includes a pair of buckle member-receiving slots. The straps assemblies and the hooks provided on the attachment bases secure the attachment bases to the helmet.
Surgical personal protection apparatus
A personal protection system for providing a sterile barrier around medical/surgical personnel. The system may include a head unit over which surgical garment such as a hood or a toga may be suspended over. The surgical garment may include a sterile material and a shield configured to be disposed in front of the wearers face when disposed over the head unit. The shield may comprise an anti-reflective coating configured to reduce the glare observed by the individual through said shield. The head unit may comprises a light assembly that is disposed on the wearers side of the surgical garment, and an inner surface of said surgical garment may comprise a light reflective material configured to reduce the amount of light emitted from said light assembly that is reflected back toward the individual.
Retrofit sensor module for a protective head top
The present disclosure includes a retrofit sensor module for use with a protective head top with a helmet and a visor. The sensor module includes a sensor housing and an attachment mechanism. The sensor housing encloses a head presence sensor to sense when the protective head top is being worn. The sensor housing also encloses a position sensor to sense the position of the visor relative to the helmet. The retrofit sensor module further comprises an attachment mechanism secured to the housing. The attachment mechanism mates with a first hinge component of a hinge assembly in the protective head top to removably install the sensor module into the protective head top, wherein the hinge assembly allows the visor to move relative to the helmet.
Athletic mask and helmet
Novel and advantageous masks and helmets to protect an athlete's head and face from impacts and injuries. In particular, the present disclosure relates to novel and advantageous masks and helmets to help protect a baseball or softball catcher's face and head from concussive forces of an incoming ball strike. A mask of the present disclosure may be coupled to a helmet, or may be configured for use without a helmet in some embodiments. The mask may provide a generally cone-shaped structure in front of a wearer's face, so as to provide an angled surface for contact with an incoming ball. Additionally, a shock absorbing material may be provided at an interface between the helmet and mask to reduce and distribute force transfer between the mask and the helmet.
TRANSPARENT AND HIGHLY STABLE SCREEN PROTECTOR
The invention relates to a method for producing at least one solid layer and comprises at least the steps of: providing a carrier substrate (4) having a sacrificial layer (8) arranged thereon or arranging a sacrificial layer (8) on the provided carrier substrate (4), producing a useful layer (6) by way of chemical or physical gas phase deposition on the sacrificial layer (8) to form a multi-layer arrangement (2), removing the useful layer (6) as a result of a material weakening produced between the useful layer (6) and the carrier substrate (4), said material weakening being brought about by modifications (12) to the sacrificial layer (8) which were produced means of laser beams (10).
VISION-PROTECTING FILTER LENS
A vision-protecting filter lens, including a multilayer optical film and a neutral-density optical filter.
Visor system for a protective sport helmet
A visor system for a protective sport helmet wearable on a head of a user is provided. The visor system comprises a visor for protecting at least part of a face of the user. The visor is transparent and comprises left and right connectors. The visor system also comprises left and right visor supports for supporting the visor on left and right sides of the protective sport helmet. The left and right connectors of the visor are toollessly connectable to and toollessly disconnectable from the left and right visor supports to allow the user to toollessly connect the visor to the left and right visor supports and toollessly disconnect the visor from the left and right visor supports. The visor system may be configured to define an open gap from a top edge of the visor to the outer shell.
