Autonomous mower navigation system and method
A method for autonomous mower navigation includes receiving a return-to-zero encoded signal including a pseudo-random sequence, transforming the received signal to a non-return-to-zero representation, digitally sampling the non-return-to-zero signal representation in a time domain, filtering the sampled signal utilizing a reference data array based on the return-to-zero encoded signal to produce a filter output, and determining a location of the autonomous mower relative to a defined work area based on an evaluation of the filter output.
Frequency / time selective precoding for positioning reference signals
Disclosed are techniques for transmitting and processing reference signals for positioning estimation over a multipath multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel. In aspects, a first node configures first and second reference signal resource sets for transmission of first and second sets of reference signals, wherein the first and second reference signal resource sets occur on first and second subbands of, and/or during first and second time intervals on, the MIMO channel, wherein each reference signal resource in the first and second reference signal resource sets utilize at least first and second MIMO precoders, and transmits, to a second node over the MIMO channel, the first and second sets of reference signals, wherein the first node transmits the first and second sets of reference signals to assist the second node to perform a positioning measurement based on joint processing of the first and second sets of reference signals.
Approach to use positioning reference signal(s) (PRS(s)) traveling non line-of-sight (NLOS) transmission paths and map information for positioning of user equipments (UEs)
A method that may be performed by a UE includes obtaining map information regarding, at least, one or more reflectors in an environment including at least the UE and another node, detecting at least one positioning reference signal (PRS) transmission that travels one or more non line-of-sight (NLOS) transmission paths in the environment, and participating in a positioning procedure that estimates a position of the UE based, at least in part, on the at least one PRS transmission that travels the one or more NLOS transmission paths and the map information.
Marker based smart landing pad
A smart landing pad comprises a flexible display that shows images or patterns, and a protective layer over the display. The protective layer allows a UAV to land without damaging the display. Locator and range finder devices, coupled to the display, communicate with the UAV. The display is operative for wireless communications with a computer or mobile device that provides on-demand user functions, allowing for dynamically changing or customizing the images/patterns shown on the display. The images/patterns comprise a background area showing changeable images that match an environment where the landing pad is placed, and a target landing area surrounded by the background area. The target landing area includes a changeable insensitive, contrast portion, and changeable marker pattern portions having changeable colors/shapes. The images/patterns also include changeable QR codes on the target landing area. The display is IoT enabled so that data from the landing pad is remotely cloud accessible.
Associating Audio with Three-Dimensional Objects in Videos
Disclosed is a system and method for generating a model of the geometric relationships between various audio sources recorded by a multi-camera system. The spatial audio scene module associates source signals, extracted from recorded audio, of audio sources to visual objects identified in videos recorded by one or more cameras. This association may be based on estimated positions of the audio sources based on relative signal gains and delays of the source signal received at each microphone. The estimated positions of audio sources are tracked indirectly by tracking the associated visual objects with computer vision. A virtual microphone module may receive a position for a virtual microphone and synthesize a signal corresponding to the virtual microphone position based on the estimated positions of the audio sources.
DRONE ENCROACHMENT AVOIDANCE MONITOR
Disclosed are examples of systems, apparatus, methods and computer program products for locating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). A region of airspace may be scanned with two scanning apparatuses. Each scanning apparatus may include one or more directional Radio Frequency (RF) antennae. The two scanning apparatuses may have different locations. Radio frequency signals emitted by a UAV can be received at each of the two scanning apparatuses. The received radio frequency signals can be processed to determine a first location of the UAV.
METHOD FOR ACTIVATING A FUNCTION OF A VEHICLE BY ULTRA HIGH FREQUENCY WITH AN ITEM OF PORTABLE USER EQUIPMENT AND DEVICE FOR ACTIVATING AN ASSOCIATED FUNCTION
A UHF communication method for activating a motor vehicle function with a portable item of user equipment, based on the presence of the portable item of equipment in predetermined areas around the vehicle. The portable item transmitting a first signaling event at a predetermined period on at least one signaling channel. The first event including at least one signaling frame having a data block. The method including: a predetermined number of additional signaling events transmitted to the vehicle during the period; a request signal received from the vehicle, for each signaling frame of each event received by the vehicle; sending a response frame upon receipt of the request signal by the portable item; determining the presence of the portable item in one of the predetermined areas based on the strength values of the received signal; activating a vehicle function based on the determined presence of the portable item of equipment.
PASSIVE SENSOR TRACKING USING OBSERVATIONS OF WI-FI ACCESS POINTS
A method of passive sensor tracking includes using a Wi-Fi access point that transmits a management frame comprising sensor data of a sensor as part of Wi-Fi wireless network discovery, associating unique identifying information of the Wi-Fi access point with a sensor in a sensor tracking database, receiving observation data of the Wi-Fi access point from a Wi-Fi AP Database, the observation data including the unique identifying information of the Wi-Fi access point and the sensor data of the sensor, and storing the sensor data in the sensor tracking database. The Wi-Fi AP Database receives one or more reports comprising observation data from one or more wireless devices that encounter the Wi-Fi access point.
SIDELINK-ASSISTED POSITIONING
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to another UE, a positioning request associated with a procedure for determining a position of the UE, wherein the positioning request comprises a sidelink communication between a first sidelink location management component (S-LMC) of the UE and a second S-LMC of the other UE, wherein the first S-LMC and the second S-LMC comprise sub-functions associated with a vehicle-to-everything protocol layer; and receive a positioning report associated with the procedure for determining the position of the UE, wherein the positioning report comprises an indication of the position of the UE based at least in part on a determination by a sidelink location management function.
