A wireless communications and light emitting diode (LED) device compatible with conventional helmet structures and adapted, while the helmet is being worn, to effectively illuminate likely illumination targets with an internal lighting device. More particularly, the accessories and applications according to various embodiments of the present invention make use of wireless communication and lighting devices to provide advantages in helmet use, with the ability to answer phone calls, communicate between rider-to-rider or rider-to-passenger, intercom talk hands free, ability to listen to music or voice instructions from GPS navigation, and noise cancelation, for safety, and convenience for the end user.

Active noise control in a helmet

Exemplary noise reducing methods and systems are configured to acoustically reproduce two electrical noise reducing signals at two opposing positions in a helmet; to pick up sound at positions in the vicinity of the positions where the noise reducing signals are reproduced; and to generate the two noise reducing signals from error-signals and reference-signals. For each noise reducing signal, the corresponding error-signal is generated from the sound picked-up at the same position where the respective noise reducing signal is reproduced; and the reference-signal is generated from the sound picked-up at the position where the respective other noise reducing signal is reproduced.

Head Covering Device with Communication Hardware

A head covering device comprising a rigid component comprising a transparent face shield, a fabric component, wherein the face shield and fabric combine to cover an entire head of a user and form a seal around the user's neck, an intake port with an inlet filter, an exhaust port with an exhaust filter, an air mover causing filtered air to enter the intake port and exhaust air to exit the exhaust port, and communication hardware facilitating communication for the user.

Interactive headgear

Headgear includes one or more sensors that provide input information to a controller of the headgear. The sensors may include accelerometers, location sensors, wireless receivers, cameras, and so on. The controller may receive the input information that is indicative of an orientation of the headgear, a location of the headgear, a communication signal, and/or an image or video. The headgear may also include one or more output devices that may be controlled by the controller (e.g., actuators, electronic displays, lights, speakers, and/or communication interfaces). As such, the headgear may output instructions to actuate an actuator, display an image on an electronic display, activate a light, emit a sound using a speaker, and/or send a communication signal using a communication interface. In particular, the headgear may determine an instruction to send to an output device in response to receiving the input information, and send the instruction to the output device.

A weatherproof protective gear for cycling is an apparatus which keeps the user refreshed, the upper body dry, and facilitates breathing in different weather conditions. The apparatus may include a full-head helmet, a face shield, a length-adjustable collar, a sleeveless torso shroud, a portable airflow system, and an exhaust snorkel. The full-head helmet protects the user's head while also facilitating airflow around the head from the portable airflow system. The face shield protects the user's face from the environment and facilitates vision in most weather conditions. The length-adjustable collar hermetically connects the full-head helmet to the sleeveless torso shroud to maintain a sealed environment. The sleeveless torso shroud protects the chest and the user's back from the environment and maintains the upper torso refreshed by the portable airflow system. Finally, the exhaust snorkel allows the user to breathe while wearing the present invention.
