System and Method for Object Screening and Handling
20200191990 · 2020-06-18 ·

Systems and methods for automated security inspection and routing of in-transit objects are described. In one embodiment,a plurality of security screening devices are provided, each operable to output screening data of an in-transit object, including a first screening device located in a sealed environment of a vehicle for transporting the object towards a conveying system, including one or more measuring devices operable to measure screening parameters of the object when located in the sealed environment, and a second screening device in combination with conveying and routing components of the conveying system used to transport said objects from an ingress point through a conveyor junction to reach the second screening device. A control unit is assigned to the conveyor junction, wherein the control unit is configured to receive security data assigned on the basis of the screening data from the first screening device to the object upstream of the conveyor junction, and in response, to determine and set a routing direction on the basis of the assigned security data, whereby the object is directed downstream to a screening route for further screening by the second screening device, or to a loading route for objects cleared for loading. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

INTEGRATED X-RAY SOURCE

Disclosed herein is an X-ray source, comprising: a cathode in a recess of a first substrate; a counter electrode on a sidewall of the recess, configured to cause field emission of electrons from the cathode; and a metal anode configured to receive the electrons emitted from the cathode and to emit X-ray from impact by the electrons on the metal anode.

System and method for screening objects

System and method for screening objects of an individual, comprising an infeed station, object containers, an outfeed station, a screening station for automated screening of object containers from the infeed station and a conveyor for conveying object containers from the infeed station to the outfeed station via the screening station. The infeed station comprises an identification terminal for determining an identification of the individual, an object container dispenser for making an object container available to the individual, and a detection device for detecting the individual at the infeed station, wherein the object container dispenser is configured to make object containers available to the individual during use of the system only when said individual's identification has been determined and as long as the detection device continues to detect the presence of said individual at the infeed station.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DYNAMICALLY IMPROVING THE PERFORMANCE OF SECURITY SCREENING
20200134520 · 2020-04-30 ·

A system for security screening at a venue includes one or more security screening stations, each station having a security level and configured to screen a plurality of subjects in a queue for admitting the subject to the venue. The system may determine the current queue length of all the queues associated with security screening stations based on data received from one or more sensors. The system may also determine whether the throughput for at least one security screening station should be increased or decreased. If the system so determines, the system may decrease or increase, for a variation time period, the security level of the security screening station associated with the queue. The system may also adjust configuration of the stations or place a secondary and complementary screening process to dynamically improve the performance of the security system.

X-ray security inspection system
20200132877 · 2020-04-30 ·

The invention discloses an X-ray security inspection system, which includes a fixing plate, an annular first electric guide rail is fixed on an end surface of the fixed plate, and an annular conveyor belt is installed on the upper side of the first electric guide rail, and the first electric guide rail is provided. After the startup, the conveyor belt is driven to rotate. A security inspection machine is fixed on the fixed plate. The conveyor belt passes through the security inspection machine. A circular fence is provided on the outer side of the conveyor belt. There is an isolation mechanism. Each compartment can only enter one person at a time. People move together with the isolation mechanism. After the luggage security check is completed, passengers take the luggage away and exit from the exit. This avoids the problem of crowded people and overlapping luggage.

Portable access control system

A portable container is provided which comprises a passing room(s) allowing entry into a second area into a first area, the passing room having at least two openings with a walkway in-between. Barrier device(s) can be located in the walkway but not connected to the first or second opening. A control room(s) can also be provided, the control room being connected to the passing room(s).

METHOD FOR SECURITY INSPECTION AND KIT OF PARTS WITH A DETACHABLE SINGLE-USE INLAY FOR AN X-RAY TRAY

This disclosure relates to a method for security inspection of baggage and/or personal items. This disclosure also relates to a kit of parts with a detachable single-use inlay and an X-ray tray of a security check at an airport.

Vehicle identification methods and systems

Disclosed is a vehicle identification method and system. The method includes: acquiring appearance information of an inspected vehicle; obtaining external features of the vehicle based on the appearance information; acquiring a transmission image of the vehicle and obtaining internal features of the vehicle from the transmission image; forming descriptions on the vehicle at least based on the external features and the internal features; and determining a vehicle model of the vehicle from a vehicle model databased by utilizing the descriptions. This method merges various types of modality information, especially introducing the transmission image, and combines the internal structure information with the appearance information, so that the present disclosure can identify a vehicle model more practically.

Mobile x-ray scan speed control

A conveyance and methods for x-ray inspection of an object. The conveyance has a bed with attached wheels and detector elements disposed along a pontine structure coupled to the conveyance. A source of penetrating radiation is coupled to the conveyance and disposed so as to irradiate each of the detector elements from a single position. An automated manual transmission couples power from an engine to a set of the wheels of the conveyance, both for road travel and for x-ray inspection.
