Power adjustment method and apparatus, and human body security check device
The invention relates to a power adjustment method and apparatus, and a human body security check device. An adjustable power attenuator is provided in a millimeter wave signal transmitting link of the millimeter wave transceiver. The method comprises: obtaining a current humidity value by detecting the ambient humidity around the millimeter wave transceiver using a preset humidity sensor; determining a target power attenuation value of the adjustable power attenuator according to the current humidity value, the sum of the target power attenuation value and a power attenuation value caused to a millimeter wave signal by the ambient humidity being a constant value; and controlling the adjustable power attenuator to adjust its power attenuation value to be consistent with the target power attenuation value. The solution can reduce radiation hazard while ensuring the definition of an image.
Double-Field Security Body Scanner
The present invention relates to a detection system comprising detection means (140) of the inductive field type and detection means (10) using microwave field-based imaging, analysis means (50) which are suitable for analysing the signals from the inductive detection means (140) and for deducing therefrom the potential presence of the metal targets, and means which are suitable for correspondingly modifying, at least in a zone of interest, the sensitivity of the detection means (10) using microwave-based imaging.
Radar-based baggage and parcel inspection systems
The present specification provides a baggage scanning system including: an aperture defining a scanning tunnel; a conveyor moving through the scanning tunnel, a baggage being scanned moving on the conveyor; a UWB radar array surrounding the aperture for providing radar scan data corresponding to the baggage; a LCMD array positioned at a location around the baggage allowing obtaining of LCMD scan data corresponding to the baggage; and at least a processor for correlating the radar scan data and the LCMD scan data for providing one or more suspicious regions highlighted over a video image of the baggage being scanned.
COMBINATION OPTICAL AND MILLIMETER WAVELENGTH CAMERA
The disclosed handheld camera device is a combination digital optical and millimeter wavelength (MMW) camera. In contrast to an optical camera, the MMW camera detects frequencies between 3-300 GHz making the MMW camera especially good at seeing metallic objects under garments, such as concealed weapons on a person or in a bag. The MMW camera can be arranged to point in the same field-of-view as the optical camera so that when an MMW image is taken it is automatically framed within the optical camera field-of-view. In certain configurations, the MMW camera takes a plurality of MMW images defined within an MMW field-of-view. In the case where the MMW field-of-view is smaller than the optical camera field-of-view, the multiple MMW images can be stitched together and overlaid on the optical image of the same scene to show a metallic object superimposed over a subject of interest.
Early-warning fire detection system based on a multivariable approach
An automated fire detection system includes a distributed network of standalone sensor units having multifunctional capability to detect wildfires at their earliest stage. Multiple modes of verification are employed, including thermal imaging, spectral analysis, near infrared and long-wave infrared measurements, measurements of the presence and/or concentration of smoke, and sensing local temperature and humidity and wind speed and direction. A dedicated algorithm receives all data from the network and determines the location of flames from the imaging sensors, combined with the smoke, temperature, humidity, and wind measurements at every dispersed device.
PORTABLE TERAHERTZ SECURITY INSPECTION APPARATUS
The present disclosure provides a portable terahertz security inspection apparatus, including: a carrying body; a terahertz emitting device arranged on the carrying body, wherein the terahertz emitting device includes a terahertz signal source and an emitting unit connected to the terahertz signal source and configured to emit a terahertz wave; a terahertz detector arranged on the carrying body and configured to receive the terahertz wave reflected from an inspected object; a data acquisition and processing system arranged on the carrying body and connected to the terahertz detector, wherein the data acquisition and processing system is configured to receive a scan data for the inspected object from the terahertz detector and generate a terahertz image; and a display device connected to the data acquisition and processing system and configured to receive and display the terahertz image from the data acquisition and processing system. The portable terahertz security inspection apparatus does not need to be equipped with a mechanical scanning system, so that a volume and a weight of the terahertz security inspection apparatus may be greatly reduced, and a security inspector may move the terahertz security inspection apparatus manually to perform scanning of the imaging area.
PEST REPELLERS
A pest repeller comprises a pest detector operable to detect the presence of a pest and then to generate an internal trigger signal, a speaker operable to produce ultrasound, and an antenna operable to transmit wirelessly and to receive wirelessly external trigger signals. A controller is configured to receive internal trigger signals from the pest detector and to receive external trigger signals from the antenna. Upon receiving an internal trigger signal, the controller is configured to provide a speaker drive signal to drive the speaker to produce the ultrasound, to generate an external trigger signal and to provide the external trigger signal to the antenna for transmission of the external trigger signal. Upon receiving an external trigger signal, the controller is configured to provide a speaker drive signal to drive the speaker to produce the ultrasound.
