System and method for performing a test procedure
A system and method for performing a test procedure on a system under test are provided. An actuation unit operatively coupled to the system under test is configured to perform at least one operation thereon. A visual recognition unit is configured to capture at least one image of the system under test in real-time. A test unit remotely interfaced with the system under test is configured to perform the test procedure. Using the test unit, the test procedure is retrieved from the memory, at least one control signal is output to the actuation unit for causing the at least one operation to be performed in real-time for testing the system under test in accordance with the one or more test instructions, and the at least one image of the system under test is monitored as the at least one operation is performed for validating the test procedure in real-time.
Electromagnetic sensor and mobile device including the same
An electromagnetic (EM) sensor includes a front end module generating an EM signal using electromagnetic waves transmitted from an external source, a sensor memory storing a portion of a plurality of machine learning models used to recognize the EM signal, and a microcontroller unit for recognizing the external electronic device emitting the electromagnetic waves by inputting feature values extracted from the EM signal to the machine learning models. If the machine learning models stored in the sensor memory are not able to recognize the external device, the feature values may be transmitted to a main processor, and the main processor may compare the feature values to another set of machine learning models.
Sequential estimation while drilling
Drilling systems and related methods are disclosed. A drilling system may include a drill bit positioned at an end of a drill string, and one or more sources and receivers positioned on the drill string behind the drill bit. The sources may be configured to emit signals into a medium surrounding a borehole in which the drill string extends, and the signals may cause a response in the medium at one or more predetermined positions ahead of the drill bit, and response signals may be measured by the one or more receivers. A processor may use the measured response signals to iteratively update an estimate of a property of the medium at the predetermined position, which in some embodiments, may be done using a sequential estimation process, as the drill string is advanced into the medium.
MODIFICATION AND ASSESSMENT
The present disclosure involves processes for assessing and modifying pavement surfaces using a mobile platform. An emitter associated with the mobile platform generates electromagnetic waves directed towards a portion of a pavement surface. A condition sensor associated with the mobile platform receives electromagnetic radiation from a first portion of the pavement surface and generates a first electronic signal representative of a current condition of the portion of the pavement surface. A location sensor generates a second electronic signal containing location data corresponding to the first portion of the pavement surface. A computing platform is used to process the electronic signals and create a current pavement condition data point. The computing platform may compare the first electronic signal against a reference representative of a target condition of the portion of the pavement surface, determine if there is a condition variance, and determine whether any condition variance exceeds a predetermined threshold. If a condition variance exceeds a predetermined threshold, the computing platform may generate a condition control signal which is transmitted to a pavement surface modification system, and which operates to modify operation of the pavement surface modification system in order to reduce the condition variance.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING FORMATION CHARACTERISTICS USING ELECTRICAL ARC MODELING
A disclosed downhole drilling system may include a drill bit electrically coupled to a pulse-generating circuit to generate electrical arcs between first and second electrodes during pulsed drilling operations, a sensor to record responses to electromagnetic or acoustic waves produced by the electrical arcs, and a sensor analysis system. The electrical arcs occur at different azimuthal locations between the electrodes. The sensor analysis system may obtain a plurality of measurements representing first responses recorded by the sensor during a pulsed drilling operation, generate a model of a source of the electrical arcs based on the measurements, obtain an additional measurement representing a second response recorded by the sensor during the operation, and determine a characteristic of a formation near the drill bit using an inversion based on the model and the additional measurement. The determined characteristic may be used to determine dip parameters or construct images of the formation.
Tracking and spatial location system of magnetic sensors and tracking and location method
The present aspects provide a tracking and spatial location system of magnetic sensors applied in extraction and transport processes in open pit mines or underground mines, allowing spatially locating one or more sensors that transmit magnetic signals through of one or more collectors that perform a reading and processing of these signals. The present aspects also to provide a tracking and location method that makes use of the magnetic sensors tracking and spatial location system, comprising the necessary steps to perform the tracking and determine the location of the sensors.
High resolution downhole imaging
Apparatus having a focused transducer and methods of operating a focused transducer downhole in a well can provide high resolution downhole imaging. In various embodiments, a focused transducer is used for imaging downhole in a well in which the imaging is based on a seismoelectric effect. In various embodiments, a focused transducer is used for imaging downhole in a well in which the imaging is based on an electroacoustic effect. Fluid identification and saturation estimation using CSEM and seismic data
A method for fluid identification and saturation estimation in subsurface rock formations using the Controlled Source Electromagnetic (CSEM) data and Seismic Data by calculating the fluid saturation (S.sub.fl) in a reservoir given the resistivity obtained from CSEM data, and acoustic impedance obtained from the seismic data, comprising the following steps: a) obtaining wireline data within a zone of interest in a nearby well and determining the resistivity of water by calibrating the background resistivity trend with a reference S.sub.fl curve, b) obtaining inverted CSEM survey data from a subsurface zone of interest, c) obtaining inverted seismic data in the form of Acoustic Impedance (AI), d) bringing both the inverted CSEM and acoustic impedance data to a same domain; time or depth, f) calculating fluid saturation using a rock physics model inputting the resistivity of water along with inverted CSEM and acoustic impedance data, resulting in a S.sub.fl profile.
