Systems and methods for modeling disease severity
11555946 · 2023-01-17 · ·

Example embodiments provide systems and methods for simulating a disease outbreak using a relatively simple formula based on a limited number of input parameters. In particular, disease severity is computed based on a relationship between leaf wetness duration and average temperature during a wetness period. The resulting model is a physical, deterministic model that accepts hourly weather data as input and outputs the most significant severity event of disease infection during a specified (e.g., one-day) period. This information can then be used to guide the application of various treatments when they can be most effective (e.g., when predicted disease severity is at its worst).

FORECASTING FISHING CONDITIONS USING FORECASTED AND PAST WEATHER
20230011281 · 2023-01-12 ·

A system and method for generating a location-specific, date-specific, numerical forecast indicative of future fishing conditions (e.g., bass fishing conditions). Because water is an insulator that is affected by weather conditions for longer than a single day, fishing conditions are affected by both the current weather conditions in a and weather conditions that occurred in that location in the recent past. Accordingly, uses a rules-based process that captures the specific weather conditions that affect fishing conditions over the specific time period that those weather conditions continue to have an effect.

System and method for performing wind forecasting

A system and method for performing novel wind forecasting that is particularly accurate for forecasting over short-term time periods, e.g., over the next 1-5 hours. Such wind forecasting is particularly advantageous in wind energy applications. The disclosed method is anchored in a robust physical model of the wind variability in the atmospheric boundary layer (ABL). The disclosed method approach leverages a physical framework based on the unsteady dynamics of earth's atmosphere, and drives forecasting as a function of previously-observed atmospheric condition data observed at the same location for which a wind forecast is desired.

Information translation in an online agricultural system

An online agricultural system manages and optimizes interactions of entities within the system to enable the execution of transaction and the transportation of crop products. The online agricultural system accesses historic and environmental data describing factors that may impact crop product transactions and/or transportation to determine market prices for crop products and crop product transportation. Responsive to receiving a request from an entity, the online agricultural system determines an optimal transaction for the entity, such as a price for selling a crop product, an available crop product for purchase, or a transportation opportunity to transport a crop product.

This disclosure generally relates to a light electric vehicle. More specifically, this disclosure describes how to limit or restrict access to a light electric vehicle based on determined or anticipated environmental conditions. The disclosure also describes how to change one or more capabilities or operating parameters of the light electric vehicle based on determined and/or anticipated environmental conditions.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PERFORMING MANAGEMENT OF A LUMINAIRE NETWORK
20230239984 · 2023-07-27 ·

A method of performing management in a luminaire network comprising a plurality of luminaires and control system, each luminaire being configured to operate in accordance with at least one profile which defines one or more settings of luminaire in function of time, said method comprising performing by said control system: retrieving traffic data from traffic database and weather data; predicting for each luminaire motion related conditions for a future period of time based on the retrieved traffic and weather data, preferably motion related conditions influencing the motion behavior of vehicles and/or pedestrians in the vicinity of the luminaire; based on predicted conditions, determining whether the at least one profile needs to be changed for said future period and/or at least one profile to be used for said future period and/or at least one value representative for at least one profile to be used for said future period.
