LIQUID CRYSTAL MULTILAYER FILM AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
A multilayer film and a preparation method thereof is provided, and belongs to the technical field of optical films. The provided multilayer film comprises an ultraviolet blocking material and a cholesteric liquid crystal layer. The cholesteric liquid crystal layer comprises a polymerizable liquid crystal monomer, a polymerizable chiral dopant and a photoinitiator. The multilayer film can filter ultraviolet rays and near infrared rays in natural light, thereby reducing the heat effect of the natural light and harms of the ultraviolet rays to people and objects. In addition, the multilayer film has a high visible light transmission rate, which does not distort the color of the natural light passing through.

A display module is disclosed. The display module includes a pixel that includes: first to third self-luminescence elements that are configured to emit light of an ultraviolet wavelength range; first to third color conversion layers respectively corresponding to light emitting surfaces of the first to third self-luminescence elements; a first color filter and a second color filter respectively corresponding to the first color conversion layer and the second color conversion layer; a transparent resin layer corresponding to the third color conversion layer and disposed on a same plane as a plane at which the first color filter and the second color filter are positioned; a transparent cover layer that covers the first color filter, the second color filter, and the transparent resin layer; and an ultraviolet (UV) cutoff filter that covers the transparent cover layer.
BAND EDGE EMISSION ENHANCED ORGANIC LIGHT EMITTING DIODE WITH A LOCALIZED EMITTER
A light emitting photonic crystal having an organic light emitting diode and methods of making the same are disclosed. An organic light emitting diode disposed within a photonic structure having a band-gap, or stop-band, allows the photonic structure to emit light at wavelengths occurring at the edges of the band-gap. Photonic crystal structures that provide this function may include materials having a refractive index that varies.

Robust method for bonding optical materials
An optical element includes an optical material including a first edge and an opposing second edge. The optical element further includes a plurality of micro-channels arranged within the optical material. Each of the micro-channels of the plurality of micro-channels extends from the first edge to the second edge of the optical material.
Multilayer liquid crystal diffractive gratings for redirecting light of wide incident angle ranges
An optical device includes a stack of multiple grating structures, each of which includes a plurality of sublayers of liquid crystal material. Each sublayer of liquid crystal material includes laterally extending repeating units, each formed of a plurality of liquid crystal molecules. The repeating units of the liquid crystal layers are lateral offset from one another, and defined a tilt angle. The grating structures forming the stack of grating structure have tilt angles of different magnitudes. The grating structures may be configured to redirect light of visible or infrared wavelengths. Advantageously, the different tilt angles of the stack of grating structures allows for highly efficient diffraction of light incident on the grating structures at a wide range of incident angles.
