Microscope apparatus and control method
Provided is a microscope apparatus including: a microscope section configured to perform magnified observation of a subject's eye while obtaining a red reflex caused by irradiating a fundus of the subject's eye with illuminating light; a holding section configured to hold the microscope section; and a tilting section configured to tilt an illumination optical axis which is an optical axis of an illumination optical system, and an observation optical axis which is an optical axis of an observation optical system in the microscope section, around a tilt reference point in an interior of the subject's eye as a base point, while maintaining a substantially coaxial state between the illumination optical axis and the observation optical axis.
Laser assisted autofocus
An autofocus device is disclosed, including a focusing lens which is movable. A laser beam passes through the focusing lens toward a focal plane; and a detector collects laser scatter from a nonfocal position outside of the focal plane. The device determines, from the collected laser scatter, the nonfocal position of the scattering source, and moves the focusing lens, based on the determined nonfocal position, such that the scattering source is at an origin of the focal plane.
Adjustable digital microscope display
The present invention relates in general to microscopy systems. In particular, the present invention relates to microscopes rendering digital images of samples, with the capability to digitally control the focus of the microscope system, and the software used to control the operation of the digital microscope system. Further, the present invention relates to a microscope structure that allows for compact and multi-functional use of a microscope, providing for light shielding and control with samples that require specific light wavelength characteristics, such as fluorescence, for detection and imaging. The microscope is adjustable, with a structure that can move along range(s) of motion and degree(s) of freedom to allow for ease of access to samples, shielding of samples, and manipulation of a display apparatus.
Surgical optical zoom system
Methods and systems for controlling a surgical microscope. Moveable optics of the surgical microscope are controlled using two sets of control parameters, to reduce jitter and image instability. Shifts in the image due to changes in temperature or due to the use of optical filter can also be compensated. Misalignment between the mechanical axis and the optical axis of the surgical microscope can also be corrected.
LIGHT SYNCHRONIZATION FOR AN IMAGING SYSTEM
Methods and systems are provided for synchronizing image capture at a multi-detector imaging system. In one example, a method includes coordinating cycling of each microscope assembly of the multi-detector imaging system through a selection of illumination channels, each microscope assembly configured to obtain an image of a portion of one of more than one microplate wells simultaneously, to generate complete images of the more than one microplate wells concurrently.
HIGH RESOLUTION MULTI-FIELD-OF-VIEW IMAGING SYSTEM
A multichannel tunable lens system may include a review channel with a fluidic focusing device, which can adjust the focus of the channel rapidly to mitigate environmental vibrations. The review channel may generate high resolution images with reduced blur caused by vibrations or air turbulence while increasing the operating speed of the system. The review channel may include a telescope objective and eyepiece with telecentricity to generate a real image of the pupil in the fluidic focusing device. The system may also include an inspection channel to generate lower resolution images in parallel and a focus channel to determine contour information.
LIGHT SHEET MICROSCOPE HAVING STREAMLINED FIELD OF VIEW CHANGES
A method for viewing a microscopy specimen is described. The method includes receiving a request to change a field of view of an optical microscope system that images the microscopy specimen. In response to the request, a current field of view is automatically changed to a new field of view. Parameters of the optical microscope system are automatically adjusted to align an illumination plane of a light sheet of the optical microscope system and a detection plane of the optical microscope system. The adjustment of parameters to align the illumination plane with the detection plane is based at least on precalibrated parameters that correspond to the new field of view, the illumination path objective, and the detection path objective.
Mobile phone-based miniature microscopic image acquisition device and image stitching and recognition methods
A mobile phone-based miniature microscopic image acquisition device, and image stitching and recognition methods are provided. The acquisition device comprises a support, wherein a mobile phone fixing table is provided on the support. A microscope head is provided below a camera of a mobile phone. A slide holder is provided below the microscope head, and an lighting source is provided below the slide holder. A scanning movement is performed between the slide holder and the microscope head along X and Y axes, so that images of a slide are acquired into the mobile phone. The slide sample images acquired into the mobile phone can be stitched and recognized, and can be uploaded to the cloud to be processed by cloud AI, thereby significantly improving the accuracy and efficiency of cell recognition, greatly reducing the medical cost, and ensuring more remote medical institutions can apply such technology for diagnosis.
Microscope with focusing system
A microscope comprises a microscope objective, a camera and an imaging optical system for imaging an object through the objective to the camera along a first optical path. A projection optical system is provided for projecting a test image onto the object through the objective, and the imaging optical system is configured to image the projected test image from the object to the camera through the objective and along at least part of the first optical path. A focus adjustment system is provided for focusing the test image at the camera. Using the same objective and the same camera for both imaging and focusing allows reduction of the cost of the microscope in comparison with known microscopes that provide separate focusing systems.
MEDICAL SUPPORT ARM AND MEDICAL SYSTEM
A medical support arm includes: a support arm that supports an endoscope; an actuator that drives the support arm; a measurement unit that measures a load applied to the actuator; a generation unit that generates three-dimensional information in a body into which the endoscope is inserted; and a correction unit that corrects the three-dimensional information on a basis of the measured load.
