USING NON-REDUNDANT COMPONENTS TO INCREASE CALCULATION EFFICIENCY FOR STRUCTURED ILLUMINATION MICROSCOPY

The technology disclosed present systems and methods to produce an enhanced resolution image from images of a target using structured illumination microscopy (SIM). The method includes transforming at least three images of the target captured by a sensor in a spatial domain into a Fourier domain to produce at least three frequency domain matrices that each include first blocks of complex coefficients and redundant second blocks of complex coefficients that are conjugates to the first blocks. The method includes reducing computing resources required to produce the enhanced resolution image by using first blocks of complex coefficients to produce at least three phase-separated half-matrices in the Fourier domain. The method includes performing one or more intermediate transformation on the phase-separated half-matrices to produce realigned shifted half-matrices. The method includes calculating complex coefficients of second blocks in the Fourier domain to produce full matrices from half-matrices.

Synthesis of moving and beating moiré shapes

The present invention proposes a method for producing an authenticable moiré shape that simultaneously moves and shows a beating effect. The method relies on a combination of the 1D or the 2D moiré and the level line moiré. When tilting a compound showing such a moiré, the moiré shape moves, its intensity levels change significantly but its shape remains the same and is recognizable. Embodiments comprise a base layer made of patterned metallic tiny shapes and a revealing layer made of a 1D array of cylindrical lenslets or of a 2D array of spherical or aspherical lenslets.

METHODS FOR GENERATING MOIRÉ-PRODUCING PATTERN, APPARATUSES FOR GENERATING MOIRÉ-PRODUCING PATTERN, AND SYSTEMS FOR GENERATING MOIRÉ-PRODUCING PATTERN

A feature value such as a grayscale value is extracted from a design pattern on which a moiré image is based. Then, an aperture/non-aperture ratio of a moiré pattern is set according to the feature value, taking into account the specification of layers desired for a moiré image, setting of a basic pattern, and information regarding a moiré display. In addition to the aperture/non-aperture ratio, a phase shift amount and a pitch ratio can be further added to efficiently produce a moiré image having a beautiful appearance and excellent design. Moreover, such a method for generating a moiré pattern can be incorporated in a system to further improve production efficiency.
