OPHTHALMIC DEVICE HAVING ADJUSTABLE FILTERING PROPERTIES
The invention provides an ophthalmic device having adjustable filtering properties, comprising at least one first polarizer (18), at least one second polarizer (19) which is fixed relative to said first polarizer, and at least one adjustable filtering member (20) located between said first and second polarizers and configured to rotate a polarization plane of light received from said first polarizer and propagating towards said second polarizer; wherein said adjustable filtering member is configured to admit a plurality of active states, in each of which it rotates the polarization plane according to a respective and predetermined angle.
Method of making an eyeglass lens
The invention relates to a spectacle lens (3) which comprises at least one structural element (SE) on the outer edge (4) and/or the front or rear surface thereof, wherein the at least one structural element (SE) is formed by a material which is applied in liquid form on the edge (3) and/or the front/rear surface of the spectacle lens (4), is connected in a bonded manner to the lens and is hardened chemically or by radiation. The invention further relates to a method for the production thereof.
GLASSES WITH REPLACEABLE LENSES
A pair of glasses includes an upper spectacle frame, a lower spectacle frame, two temples, and two snap-fit components. The lower spectacle frame has two lateral ends detachably integrated with two lateral ends of the upper spectacle frame. At least one lens is installed between the upper and lower spectacle frames. Each temple is pivotally fitted to one of the lateral ends of the upper spectacle frame. Each snap-fit component includes a first end at which a snap-fit portion is designed and a second end coupled with a corresponding temple. The snap-fit portion of each snap-fit component, which is in a fixed position, is inserted into a fastening hole in the at least one lens to fix the lens. The snap-fit portion of each snap-fit component, which is in a separate position, is separated from the fastening hole for replacement of the lens.
Glasses with sliding latch at ear temples to close orbitals of frame to hold lens
Eyewear for releasably receiving a lens has a joint sleeve for holding the lens in place.
REPLACEMENT STRUCTURE OF EYEGLASSES LENS
A replacement structure of eyeglasses lens is disclosed. A frame comprises two circular openings corresponding to each other, at least one recess at the periphery of each circular opening, and a sliding slot connected with the recess. A lens rim is around the lens periphery, wherein the rim shape is circular to correspond to the circular opening for assembling the rim in the circular opening, and a projection is protruded from the rim periphery to correspond to the recess and embedded in the recess. When the rim is rotated, the projection is moved into the sliding slot to fasten the lens. Accordingly, the assembly and disassembly of the lens with the frame does not require any tools, being simpler, easier, and faster. Furthermore, the different color and style of the rim is used to match with the frame, so the use is richer and more is varied to attract consumers' attention.
METHOD OF MAKING EYEGLASS LENS
The invention relates to a method for producing a spectacle lens, wherein an edge structure is produced on the spectacle lens. The invention is characterized in that expected light effects produced or at least influenced by the edge structure of the spectacle lens, in particular light reflections and/or light transmissions, are ascertained for the spectacle lens with the edge structure, and the ascertained light effects are reduced, in particular in terms of intensity and/or direction and/or color, by applying one or more layers onto the edge structure of the spectacle lens.
ADJUSTABLE POWER LENS AND EYEGLASSES FRAME
Devices providing adjustable optical power have previously been proposed for use as corrective lenses in prescription eyeglasses. There is disclosed a lens having optical power adjustable by relative lateral translation of two lens elements, the lens comprising: a first lens element sealed to a cover to define a cavity therebetween; a second lens element disposed within the cavity and coupled to an elongate drive element extending laterally from the second lens element, the second lens element being arranged to be driven laterally relative to the first lens element by lateral translation of the elongate drive element to thereby adjust the optical power of the lens, the lens comprising a lateral projection into which the cavity and drive element extend, the lateral projection having there mounted an adjuster for driving lateral translation of the elongate drive element. The lens reduces or prevents the ingress of dirt, moisture, sweat and grease between surfaces of the lens elements. There is also disclosed an eyeglasses frame, such as may be particularly suited to said adjustable power lens.
Device and method for optical measurement of an internal contour of a spectacle frame
An apparatus and a method for optical measurement of an internal contour of a spectacle frame are disclosed. The apparatus contains an optical unit, which is configured to capture light reflected from an illuminated section of the inner contour of the spectacle frame. The optical unit is insertable into the inner contour of the spectacle frame and, when inserted as intended, is rotatable relative to the spectacle frame. The optical unit contains at least one light source, an objective, and at least one optical sensor, wherein the light source is configured to generate a light section, wherein at least one section of the inner contour is illuminable by the light section, wherein the objective is configured to image the illuminated section of the inner contour onto the optical sensor, and wherein the optical sensor is configured to capture the light reflected by the illuminated section of the inner contour.
Glasses with lens fastened by pivotal members
A pair of glasses includes a spectacles frame, a lens unit, and two pivotal members. A pivot hole is provided in each of first and second ends of the spectacles frame. The lens unit is detachably assembled on the spectacles frame and includes two snap-fit portions. Each pivotal member includes a swing arm and a pivot formed at the swing arm and held in a corresponding pivot hole, so that each pivotal member can make a pivotal rotation relative to the spectacles frame. The swing arm includes a locating slot at a lower end thereof. The lens unit is assembled on the spectacles frame when the snap-fit portions of the lens unit join the locating slots in the pivotal members. The lens unit can be disassembled from the spectacles frame when the snap-fit portions of the lens unit are separated from the locating slots in the pivotal members.
RX ADD-ON FOR GLASSES
