METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RETAINING EYEGLASSES
The present invention includes an apparatus and a method for retaining eyeglasses on a remote panel with a holding element positioned on the remote panel and a temple element positioned on the eyeglasses.
System for securing eyewear to a user or object
The system disclosed herein generally discloses a system for securing eyewear to a user or object. The system comprises an eyewear frame having a first temple and a second temple, wherein each temple is pivotally connected to the eyewear frame at a hinge. The system further discloses a first sleeve and second sleeve each having an external side, an internal side, an anterior end, a posterior end, and an insertion chamber extending between the external and internal sides of the sleeve and also extending through the anterior and posterior ends of the sleeve. Each sleeve is positioned along the length of the temple by positioning the temple through the insertion chamber of the sleeve. The system further discloses a first magnetized element secured to the external side of the first sleeve of the disclosed system, and a second magnetized element secured to the internal side of the second sleeve of the disclosed system. The magnetized elements are magnetically secured to one another when the eyewear's respective temples are pivoted into a closed folded position.

Portable vision assistance assembly
A portable vision assistance assembly (1, 30, 51) is provided comprising a body (3, 35, 55) including a first attachment formation (5, 39, 59) configured to releasably attach the body to a stationary, secondary structure (7), in front of a mirror. The body defines a cavity (9, 47, 57) configured to house a vision correcting optical lens (11, 111, 211, 311). A lid (13, 49, 69) is attached to the body at the entrance of the cavity that is moveable between a closed condition in which it covers the entrance (15) and an open condition in which the lid extends away from the entrance to provide access to the cavity. When the lid extends away from the entrance it positions a second attachment formation (17, 65) provided on the lid for the attachment of a vision correcting optical lens in front of a mirror.
