A skin contact pad for eyeglass frames that helps increase the friction between the skin and the eyeglasses. The skin contact pad has a body with a face surface that touches the skin of a person wearing the eyeglasses. Concavities are formed on the skin contact pad. Each of the concavities has a concave surface defined within an encompassing base. The encompassing base of each concavity is independent and complete. As the concavities move across skin, the skin bulges slightly into the concavities. As the skin moves under the concavities, the bulges move and a slight suction is created within the concavities that bias the skin contact pad toward the skin. The bias that is created helps hold the eyeglasses in place on the head of a user.

The present invention provides a screwless eyeglass frame, comprising a rim support, a temple support and a a pivoting clip. The rim support comprises a first end face and an engagement slot recessed inwardly from the first end face. The temple support comprises a second end face, two extending walls extended outwardly from two corresponding sides of the second end face, respectively, and a shaft rod provided between the two extending walls. The pivoting clip comprises a C-shaped buckle with appropriate resilience, two connecting legs connected with two ends of the C-shaped buckle, respectively, and an opening located between the two connecting legs. In this case, the C-shaped buckle is allowed for pivotally connecting to the shaft rod. The two connecting legs are tenoned into the engagement slot, and the temple support is capable of rotating with respect to the rim support around the shaft rod and the C-shaped buckle.

Eyewear is configured to use pairs of polarized lenses, with one pair held stationary within an eyeglass frame, and the remaining pair disposed adjacent with the fixed pair and permitted to rotate under the control of the wearer. A novel mechanism is included within the eyewear for the wearer to use in rotating the movable lenses with respect to the fixed lenses. In particular, a flexible member is included to surround a majority of each rotatable lens, with the flexible member riding within a channel formed in the frame. A lever, or other type of hand control fixture, is attached to the flexible member. The wearer may than move the lever back and forth, which imparts a linear motion to the flexible member. The linear motion of the flexible member is translated into a rotational movement of the attached lenses, thus creating a wearer-adjustable tint.
