Sunglasses with clear bifocals
The present invention is directed to sunglasses with clear bifocals. The sunglasses with clear bifocals may comprise a pair of sunglasses having bifocal lenses that provide far distance correction through the top of the bifocal lenses and near distance correction through the bottom of the bifocal lenses. A portion of the bifocal lenses providing the far distance correction may be tinted to block sunlight and a portion of the bifocal lenses providing the near distance correction may be clear. As a non-limiting example, the pair of sunglasses may provide protection from bright sunlight while driving without interfering with the ability to read the instrument panel which is less brightly lit.
IDENTIFICATION MEDIUM, ARTICLE, AND IDENTIFICATION MEDIUM USE METHOD
An identification medium including a light reflection layer and a patterned phase difference layer, wherein the light reflection layer is a layer that reflects incident light as circularly polarized light or linearly polarized light, and the patterned phase difference layer is a layer that includes an area having a phase difference, and is a layer provided in the identification medium so that the area having a phase difference occupies a partial area of a display surface of the identification medium. Also provided are an article including the identification medium, and a method for using the identification medium wherein, in observation of the reflected light, a linear polarization component or a circular polarization component of the reflected light is selectively observed, or linearly polarized light, circularly polarized light, or elliptically polarized light is made incident as the incident light.

PRIMER COATING COMPOSITION FOR POLARIZING OPHTHALMIC LENS
A primer coating composition for bonding a functional laminate to a lens during cast-polymerization, including an acrylic polymer; a urethane acrylate oligomer; a reactive component capable of reacting with a lens-casting monomer for casting the cast-polymerized lens, a UV initiator or a thermal initiator, and a solvent. A method for cast-polymerizing a lens, including applying the primer coating composition to at least one external surface of a functional laminate; cutting and forming the functional laminate, placing the shaped functional laminate to which the primer coating is applied and a monomer for casting a lens in a casting cell so that the monomer contacts the primed surface of the functional laminate, and cast-polymerizing the monomer in the casting cell. An ophthalmic lens, including a cast-polymerized lens including at least one polymer, a functional laminate, and a primer coating obtained y curing the primer coating composition and deposited on at least one external surface of the functional laminate.
SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR SEE-THROUGH DISPLAY PANELS
Various embodiments of the present invention provide for systems and apparatus directed toward using a contact lens and deflection optics to process display information and non-display information. In one embodiment of the invention, a display panel assembly is provided, comprising: a transparent substrate that permits light to pass through substantially undistorted: a reflector disposed on the transparent substrate; and a display panel aimed toward the reflector and substantially away from a human visual system, wherein the reflector reflects light emitted from the display panel toward the human visual system. The reflector may comprise a narrow band reflector or a polarization reflector.
