MULTI-CHAMBER FLUID CARTRIDGE FOR SMART AUTOMATED CONTACT LENS CLEANSING DEVICE
Aspects of the disclosure describe a multi-chamber fluid cartridge for use in storing unused cleansing solution to be used by an automated contact lens cleansing device and for storing used cleansing solution drained from the device. For example, the multi-chamber fluid cartridge may include a first chamber configured to store the unused cleansing solution and a second chamber configured to store the used cleansing solution. After being reversibly mated with the automated contact lens cleansing device, a controlled amount of the unused cleansing solution may be transferred from the first chamber to a reservoir within the automated contact lens cleansing device for performance of one or more cleansing cycles. Upon completion of the cleansing cycles, the used cleansing solution may be drained from the reservoir to the second chamber for storage until replacement of the multi-chamber fluid cartridge. As such, efficient storage of unused and used cleansing solution is provided.
