Eyewear lens interchange with magnetic latch

A lens interchange mechanism for an eyewear may include a magnetic latch operatively associated with the eyewire of the eyewear, such that the a portion of the eyewire can be released, with a free end separating from another portion of the eyewire thereby forming a gap in the eyewire for the removal and installation of a lens. The magnetic latch mechanism may be further configured for easy re-latching by the application of opposing forces on the first and second eyewire portions to cause the free end to re-engage with the magnetic latch without manual actuation of the latch.

MOUNT FOR SPECTACLES

A spectacle mount is described, comprising a front frame (2) with lateral lugs (4) and respective rods (5), each rod-lug pair comprising a first and a second articulation element (6, 7) and an insert (12) constrained to the first articulation element (6), a recess (17) being defined in the insert (12) and intended to receive, at least partially, a head (11) of the second articulation element (7) during the movement relative to the first articulation element (6), a shoulder surface (22) defined on the insert (12) being able to contact the head (11) during the articulation movement, so that the second articulation element (7) is movable from and towards open and closed positions of the rod on the mount, in a guided and contacted manner between the insert (12) and the first articulation element (6), to achieve a hinge movement between the lug (4) and the rod (5).

Method for the assembly of elastic hinges on an eyeglass frame
11415815 · 2022-08-16 · ·

Method for the assembly of elastic hinges on an eyeglass frame, wherein each elastic hinge has a first and a second articulation elements hinged around a hinging axis. The method provides for a first step of inserting the first articulation element in a first seat of a temple and, subsequently, a second step of inserting the second articulation element in a second seat of an end piece of the eyeglasses. In the first insertion step, the second articulation element is placed perpendicular to the first articulation element with the hinging axis placed at a first distance from the temple. Before the second insertion step, a tensioning step is provided in which the second articulation element is rotated up to being arranged parallel to the first articulation element, bringing the hinging axis to a second distance from the temple that is greater than the first distance.

The present invention relates to a novel screw that causes drag and prohibits unwinding of the screw. The screw is designed for use in eyeglasses for securing eyeglass lenses and prohibiting same from falling out. The screw includes a fillister head, a drive disposed on the head for engaging a screwdriver, a shaft running from the head to a terminal end, the shaft having non-contiguous circumferential threads along the length of the shaft for rotatably sliding the screw through slots. The screw includes a longitudinal channel in the form of a slot disposed along the surface of the shaft and through the length of the shaft. A planar bar of neoprene or any other polypropene can be inserted in the channel which assists with prohibiting unwinding of the screw when the screw is in use.

EYEGLASS LENS REPLACEMENT ASSEMBLY
